Late for an appt.sad_smile

I had a first time appt. and was 30min. late b/c of traffic. Called on the way that I was late. Upon arrival, provider would not respond to calls or texts. I got the message so I left. Did I burn my bridge with this provider? Any ideas on rectifying the situation?

Probably.  If she had appointments stacked back-to-back, you were left out because the next guy was only 30 minutes away.

You didn't say what the provider said when you called her to tell her you were late; or, did the call go to VM?

Leason to learn, don't be late!

You very well might've burned that bridge.  I typically don't see ladies who do back to back appointments.  It's just begging for a rushed date, and I'm not into high volume women.

What I do is leave plenty of leeway for traffic or unforeseeable circumstances.  If it would normally take 30 minutes to get to her location I leave 50 minutes prior to the agreed on time.  I will normally stop on the road somewhere if I am very close and burn some time I am early.  Typically dropping by a gas station or 7-Eleven to get a bottle of water to hydrate myself tends to work fine.  Being punctual in the Hobby is a necessity.  You never want to be late or make the girl feel like she has to rush the situation.  Always assume that if you are running late and she still agrees to see you that your date started at the agreed on time and that whatever time remaining in that time slot is all you have left.  So if you were supposed to meet her at 6PM for an hour long date and you got there at 6:30, you only have 30 minutes but will still be paying for the full hour.  That is common courtesy, although some ladies might still allow you the entire time.  It is COMPLETELY up to them and you should NOT expect them to be so generous.  You'll get more leniency if you are a regular with a previously perfect record of punctuality with her.

30 min late is very late.Usually if a guy lets me know I'm ok with it. But If I have someone thats sopposed to be there I can't be sure you'll be able to see me when you want to.But I never set appointments up one after another.Thats crazy.lol.But if your over an hour late you'll probably make me upset.I'm usually very understanding though.

Did you call prior to the set time?  I had to do this because of an unexpected change in the weather that stopped traffic on the interstate.  We rescheduled for another day.
I leave plenty of time now...  I get there early locate the call point & then back track to a nearby coffee shop.  (Sitting outside is not cool.)

If you did not call until after the time, on a first visit, she may have blocked your number already.
You should attempt appologies, whether she wants to accept them or not.  Reschedule & give her a tip...  if she agrees.
If she does not want to see you, move on.

Depends on the provider. If a client lets me know he is running late, it really is not a big deal. Depending on my schedule, if he is more than thirty minutes late I might have to reschedule for another day. Between work, school and seeing clients my schedule is hectic. Some providers may have other appointments back to back. Not sure why she didn't answer your calls or texts, but for me, if it happened once and you let me know it would not be a problem, if it happened a second time, you would probably be on DNS list.

Well if it was me, and youlet me know I certainly wouldnt ignore you. I mean if it messed up my day I would at least tell you I couldnt see you and try to reschedule.

Everyone deserves an answer.

sending her an e-mail and explaining the situation and that you did call her in route.  Traffic can be unpredictable.  However, her schedule may not have been flexible enough to accommodate your unexpected tardiness.  She may have scheduled a second appointment shortly after yours was due to end or may have had to leave for an appointment.

Honest communication is the best response.
