A provider and I are exchanging emails prior to setting up an appointment and she asks me for a reference and my rs2k info. After giving her the info, her next email asks me if my last name is........ Should I be hesitant in seeing this provider? Thank you for any advice.

If so, PM some of her reviewers and ask them if they were comfortable with that part of the screening process and if she is a reliable, trustworthy provider.

thanks for the info. I was just wondering if rs2k does give out this info when providers check your verification. If so, why did she have to ask if that was my last name? If not, where did she get my last name?

There is no way she could have gotten an RS2K verification without your last name initially. In order to get an approval, the lady must provide RS2K with your first & last name, and they will then give the OK or not. Is it possible your e-mail is in your real name, & she got it this way?

She knows you in your personal life somehow and recognized you from the rest of the screening information? If you TRULY can't figure out how she's gotten your name, this may be how.

If you end up not seeing her.... then my guess is you already know her!
