That said, it's how that world works.
Some thoughts:
1) If you've not seen any other girls in the area at least see some and get some reviews. Won't help much at all but it will take some questions off the table as it were.
2) Try working with one of the local bookers but keep in mind the 3 Ps -- be patient, be polite and be persistent (but NOT annoying). They may be willing to screen you without K-Girl references.
3) When attempting to book don't ask for the top girls - ask them for a recommendation and accept you're essentially doing an interview with them if they cut you a break.
4) If you travel (especially say to Canada where it's much easier to get access as it's next to legal there now) see if they mind being listed as a reference (and review here). Also see if perhaps any of the girls are touring from the US -- then ask them if they ever get to LA. You can probably see where this is going.
5) Be patient
6) Be polite -- and respectful
7) keep trying but don't be a pest -- that most certainly is not one of the preferred Ps!
8) Keep searching for local indie providers or Korean descent -- they may have different screening requirements and let you in (language is less a barrier here so ....)
If you ask the moderators to move the thread to the K-Girl board you might be additional insight -- though in this case it might be better to leave this here in the Newbie forum and just go ask again (or search first as we'll all make fun of you if you just ask without making any effort to inform yourself)
