First timer trying to set something up with a provider via email and she hasn't responded. I tried again through email and still know response. Do providers prefer that you call them?

I prefer to arrange appointments by email and make that clear on my site. I've only had a phone number on my site for a few months and I check email more often than I turn on my phone.

So, it depends on the provider but if she's not replying then I'd say find somebody else.

"Why would somebody work for an agency?"

Because so many providers completely drop the ball when it comes to email, phone, posting and website issues.

There are three big possibilities here for lack of her response.

(1) She is a total ditz with little or no professionalism about her.

(2) Perhaps you said things in your e-mail that were provocative, graphic or probing in nature that the provider feared was possible LE entrapment.

(3) Perhaps the provider is out of town on business or otherwise and simply incommunicado via e-mail until her return.
