Bait & Switch...  ads with pictures not her own or seriously out of date or sends another provider

Runner or 'cash & dash'  Grabs the cash & bolts for the door.

Runner or 'take off' After recieving the cash, announces she left the condoms in the car, goes out to get them & runs.

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, she runs...

Runner After recieving cash, does not have condoms, you drive her to the store, you wait outside, she tells the clerk a story (coersion, pressure etc) is let out another door...  she runs...   You might even have to deal with the Police...  helpful store employees might just call before she disappears.  Or she disappears while the cops are at your car window.

She promises/implies services which are withdrawn from menu after payment.  (This refers mainly to large scale changes)

The switchero  First review BBBJ, later customers CBJ.

Reviewed:  Link to TER or other reviews.  Take he time to read the reviews.  Existance of reviews does not mean they are good reviews!

Up sell:  She collects payment & suddenly services are extra cost.

The Banker:  Asks for cash advances or loans, sometimes to be worked off or repaid in cash... then refuses your calls or disappears.

The Deposit Ripoff:  There are exceptions where it might make sense to pay a deposit... like travel expenses or a large time block reserved (over night, weekend, an extended night of dinner & dancing). But in general, deposits leave you open to be ripped off.  You pay the deposit & she suddenly becomes hard to reach or ignores you all together. There's no way to force compliance. You can't legally contract for an illegal act.

Thief:  When you are not looking, items or cash disappear.

Scout:  After appointment your residence is burglarized.  She might even leave a door or window unlocked.

Blackmail:  The provider finds out too much personal information about you, and threatens to post or give out your information to who ever (job, media, family) in exchange for money.

BF/Pimp:  She seems legit, you are getting "comfortable" and all of a sudden some big ape is pounding on the door or busting down the door and you just want to get out of there with your life.

Robbery:  Or girl or her thug block your exit and you aren't allowed to leave unless you give them all the money you have in your possession.

Or the ones where she is stalling for time, you may be undressed but she still has her clothes on, she is doing a little dance, strip tease, etc, mostly dressed. Outside one of her friends is breaking in your car and stealing anything and everything they can find of value. The session doesn't actually happen, she's stalled long enough that you pretty much know you've been screwed, you go back outside to find your car's been broken into and she acts like she knows nothing about it. (I read a review on another site where this is standard MO at this girl's incall).

I also read a review the other day where the girl took the money and then went to the bathroom and locked the door, and didn't come out - the guy waited 4 hrs and she did not come out. (He said she had a computer and phone in bathroom with her btw).

Those scammers are very slick... they have the move all planned & can even be out the door before you can protest. There are some who should be in the Olympics... track team! Many of the scams work best (against us) on out-calls to your home or hotel room. Place the donation well into the bedroom, not near the door!

I should caution that it's illegal to physically lock someone in or physically restrain them... think kidnapping or unlawful restraint charges... we don't have to make ourselves look like an easy mark! This is supposed to be FUN! Again, well reviewed providers are the best bet for newbies & the risk adverse.

SNOOKERED:  (added by a TER member)
"So chalk this one to newbie stupidity. Made appointment with provider from BP for an outcall. Pretty typical ad so I thought. Provider shows up, takes the envelop and have me sign a receipt and then tells me service is strictly restricted to providing date companionship and nothing more! So, the question is: Has anyone ever experienced this and how does one go about, when sorting through the BP ads, distinguishing this type of service from the other kind? In hindsight I guess I should have discussed the specifics/expectations during the brief phone call with the provider, but I thought the etiquette is not to. You know maybe I just got snookered.
This is a scam that I have seen practiced in Washington DC, although I'm sure it is used in other places.
The chick senses a newbie or nervous guy and gets him to sign her "receipt". She figures he won't make trouble because she has his signature on a receipt that he is not likely to claim is for sex.
It's not about whether you can see through the scam or figure out ways around it, it's about a scam that I've seen perpetrated on timid guys."

Eros, etc, also has a lot of scams. There have even been some on the TER ad boards. Best to be aware of the scams and do research. Sticking to well reviewed ladies is the safest bet.

If you are a TOFTT person, there are ways to minimize your risk but risk is always there. Use your spidey sense and always be ready to bale.

The ad site does not know who's a scammer & who is not.  The thing to do is know the possibilities & to structure the situation so that you are not vulnerable.  In general, scammers get reviewed pretty quickly by irate clients but also re-invent themselves often, changing emails & phone numbers.
Well reviewed providers have earned their good reviews...  value their provider name & reputation...   and are your safest bet.  ++

An example of good awareness:  The Gal claimed she needed to buy condoms & was to go to the Hotel gift shop where she knew she could buy them.  He declined to let her take the donation or even a large bill from the donation...  instead gave her a small bill for the purchase.  She did run with the money but only the small bill.  Really an unrewarding scam.
