that 2 show as being read - you are misreading a feature.
One of the problems with PM's is that you are not prevented from sending one to a non-VIP member, so you will never know if they are read until there is a reply.
have sent off a bunch of pms to hobbyists who have reviewed a girl i've been considering seeing. of the 14 i have sent, 2 have show as having been read by the recipients. is there some trick to getting people to read the pms you send them?
Ok, Thats a tad extreme ! If she is well reviewed what more do you want to know. Dont get crazy over a very easy thought process.
Some people are far to busy and or dont want to keep talking over pm over a ladie they have seen. If you didnt get the info you were looking for out of there review... Let it go and find someone else.

Help me understand DC, what does it mean when you click on "mail" and you have a box that lists inbox, read and unread, and below that sent items, that says read and unread? What is this feature indicating? Just curious.
When you take it one step farther and click say on "sent items" it will list all of your undeleted sent PMS, listing the unread ones in BOLD type and the read items in normal type, so that you can discern which ones have been read and which ones have not. At least that was my thinking! You can click on all of the main mail headings, such as, sent, inbox, draft, and trash and see what is in each one.
That differentiation is for what YOU have done. It makes sense for incoming mail, but is rather meaningless for sent. If you have unread sent mail, it only means that you haven't gone back and re-read what you've sent.
and click on whether or not you'd like to be emailed when you recieve a pm on ter.
most hobbyists probably dont know that or bother to turn that feature on and in that case, they wouldnt even know about the pm unless they logged in. .. and then they'd have to also be vip to be able to access the mail system.
you will have the best luck if you pm hobbyists who are actively posting on your regional board. if you are just sending pm's to guys who wrote reviews in the past, it's possible they are not currently hobbying.
