If you expect an agency girl on the $200-300 range to remember every detail about you, you are going to be SORELY disappointed. Sorry, they just meet too many people. I try more than most, and even I couldn't keep track of everyone. Most people were just shocked that I remembered their face when they walked in after 6 months away, and it is honestly because agency girls meet a lot of people and don't have access to your information. "Dave" could be literally any of the 100 other Dave's she's met or a brand new one.  

An Indy should be a little better, since she is handling communication. But again, if she's not low volume you really are expecting a lot for her to remember everything you've said if you're not seeing her all the time. Do you know how many threesomes I've had?? Lol! Sorry, sometimes they slip through the cracks because we aren't superhuman, just trying to provide an intimate service to a stranger. If hanging onto your every word is part of your fantasy, remember that if we were mind readers we would be charging a lot more. Tell her that you really want to build a little fantasy relationship and want more mental intimacy and stimulation if that's what you want.  

I think what you're complaining about isn't how "stupid" they are. Just how much attention you feel they pay you. Maybe you're not making a big deal, maybe you're boring, maybe you fall somewhere in between. I can't judge much from your post, just trying to give an explanation while my hair bristles ;-p

You've figured out what kind of monger you are, which is a good first step.

Charlie B asks the excellent question "who are you seeing." More succinctly, is your expectation reasonable given who you're seeing? One of the great advantages of "our thing" is that you can find providers who cover the entire spectrum. There are women that I can have a great time with for an hour or two because they're fantastic in bed and let me get my freak on in N number of ways, but I would never take them out to Per Se or overnight with them, because that's not their element and I don't want to deal with having to talk to them for 6+ hours. Conversely, there are girls on the opposite end of the spectrum running far more sophisticated business models i.e. organized social media campaigns, e-mail drip campaigns, A/B testing of websites and so on. They're artisans that are serious about their craft BCD and have finely honed social skills. They want regulars who book big dates and their marketing is targeted to deliver exactly this type of client to their inboxes. Be prepared to pay up for these experiences, because they're not cheap.  

Perhaps you should be a bit more meticulous in your screening, as GaG suggests. When I'm screening for a companion that I can take out for an entire evening or an extended weekend, my process can take months and include multiple shorter visits. It doesn't lend itself very well to instant gratification, but when it comes time to pull the trigger I'm rarely wrong.  

You just have to figure out what's more important to you, and how much you're willing to spend to make it happen.
