Just a question for my fellow hobbyists:

My practice is generally to shower (thoroughly) at home before heading out to an incall. My thinking is that, for the most part, this will save time in the session for more interesting activities (though I wouldn't be averse to joint showers, just haven't been offered one, yet).

I've not had anyone complain (yet), but could I possibly shooting myself in the foot? I've been largely satisfied with my experiences so far, but if I were to make a show of washing (again) at the start of a session, can I expect to receive (even) better treatment?

Looking for some thoughts and observations.

So shower, it couldn't hurt and will probably help.

Sounds like everything is going well....you could wash again to see if your theory of "receiving even better treatment" next time is valid. Though there are a lot of factors that could go in to that so I don't know if the extra wash is the answer.  Never hurts to try though.......

If you'd like a joint shower then take a shower when you arrive for the session and ask Her to join You. I do it all the time. (I shower before leaving for the appointment too.) I've never been turned down. Yes, sometimes she will want to be careful about hair etc. but then she knows and it's full on for the next time I see her.

It's also wise, as a courtesy, to ask upon arrival if she'd prefer you take a quick rinse anyway.  Also, reading her reviews will give you a good idea if most guys shower when they arrive.  One gal actually had the shower on when I arrived.  Another well-known NY provider makes it clear on her site she wants you to shower first.  Even if she doesn't say so (and especially in the summer) she will be much more enthusiastic if she knows for sure you won't have that "not so fresh" scent.

It must be very difficult to keep it lit in the shower.

Thanks, everyone -- hobbyists and providers alike -- for your input. I'll definitely be taking this into account for my next appointment. I'll let you know if I notice any obvious differences. Even if I don't, I appreciate the affirmation of my sneaking suspicion.

and I shower just before I leave.  Under an hour, I'm usually good to go upon arrival.  More than that...  or extreemly hot weather, I'll shower at her place.  If it doubt, wash again.

I would say that showering before you leave to meet her is usually good enough, but if she suggests doing so when you arrive to see her, best you take her up on the offer.  If she joins you, all the better...the stage will be set for a very hot time!
