A lot of it depends on how long it takes for you to screen people.
If you have a typical 2 day turnaround with the screening process, then I add on some travel time depending on the length of the drive / flight to the destination. It's a safe bet to say 5-7 days in advance is reasonable. Hell, I've already got my April 11th session lined up already. She does a lot of touring, therefore requires 2 weeks advance notice. That's her requirement. I've had others who screened me in the morning, then scheduled a session the next day. The Forest Waits

When touring in another city, how many days in advance should the ad be posted in that city's ad board to ensure optimal visibility with enough notice but not so far out to lose interest? I know BP is like two days before, but I appreciate that TER guys seem to give advance notice and are even willing to wait.
I have to drive to Cincy the weekends before and after spring break, so I thought I might kill two birds with one stone.

Even a couple of weeks. But that's just me. I don't have a job where my schedule changes at the drop of a hat and always can take time off with enough notice. Some people have kind of jobs where its not possible.
I have been burned by planning too much in advance. So these days, I just try not to.
I would say best people to check would be the ladies or you can even post on Cincy board to gauge the demand.

Make your first ad 16-17 days out for those guys who like to plan in advance, another ad 7 days later which puts you 9-10 days out, and finally your last ad one week after that which would be just a couple of days before you arrive which will have you towards the top of the page when you get there.
The reason I suggest you do it this way is that you are allowed one ad every seven days, and this way you can get some pre books from the advance planners, and still be fresh in everyones mind when you actually get there.
That's a good strategy, Gambler. But, I'm too late.
Maybe tonight I'll do one and wait until about 5 days before I'm there? I was thinking I'd take a vacation day and leave after work that Thursday and drive all night. It's about a 6 hour drive when I don't have my minions.
Now, I need to think of what to write. So, y'all think tonight and then again about 3 or 4 days before I'm there?
