First of all, no business is ever discussed at these events. To find one, you have to be invited. This means you have earned your street cred in your local hobby community. Not everywhere has them. Find the most popular board in your area.

You need to establish a board presence on your regional board, so potential hosts will know you are ok,  Having a few reviews will help also.  

As far as finding out when they are, watch your regional board and check the Meet and Greet board for notices.  They are not things that happen on a frequent basis, so you have to keep a look out for notices.
They usually take place in a hotel banquet type room.  There might be a bar, and maybe some finger food.  The usual format is the guys pay, and the girls get in free.
