Called provider, sent up day and time, then she does her checking, and know wont respond, finally did the night before, only to say she cannot make it, called back- wont return call.  Is there something that made her uncomfortable, if so, how would I every find out? is there a database of hobbyists?

Dont think so, oh well.  New to this- chalk it up to learning experience

Could be many reasons, but one red flag is the lack of proper grammar, proof-reading etc in your post. You have to show some diligence before contacting providers if you want them to take you seriously. From my understanding, some providers will let this slide if the $$ makes up for it.  But if you are booking a low $ session and not showing your best foot, then they have reason to get cold feet.

I am new to this, but had two disappointing experiences in a row with two different providers. Booked sessions night before, received instructions to call from nearby major intersection at agreed-upon-time.  Did so, and both times reached voice mail, then call back asking me to come an hour later, which I told them I could not do.  First provider called back immediately, said OK, 10 minutes and all was well.  Second said that she did not get confirmation from me (though we had agreed on phone the night before AND I sent subsequent e-mail confirmation) so she was at the market and could I come back in one hour.  I politely declined, though she asked me to re-book the next week.  Is there more to this?  Is it most likely they were overbooked/took another client?  Is this all part of the game?  I felt a little off-balance after the second time,, which was a premium booking.

I'd say she's just plain unprofessional. Dont worry about her, find another gal.

Its also possible when she investigated you she found something that scared her. I'll leave that for you to decide if its possible.

So, FYI, I tried her again, and she apologized, rebooked me, and all was OK.  LOL: made an appt. through another provider, called when at location, booker asked me to wait an hour.  I did, and it worked-out.  This was third in a row.  Who knows, maybe I just hit several overbooked ladies in a row.  Probably no real explanation for this, just random.  Thanks.
