It was just asked last week how to send a PM to an alias, and the correct answer at the time (as it has been since the alias PM feature started last year) was that you had to physically type in the alias name in the "To" field. Another method was to copy and paste, to help avoid typos. Well something just changed in the last few days. You can now just click on the alias and the mail program opens with the name in place already.

post an "update" regarding this on THIS board every few weeks.....   as that question is asked so often.....   I've even started to post replies to those very questions about this.....     yeah, being able to just click on the alias name and having the compose box come up has been that way for quite a while now.  Makes it MUCH easier than copy and paste.  

Because I have been PMing aliases for a while, and I usually highlight the name to copy and paste it to avoid typing it. The other day I tried to PM an alias and when I went to highlight to copy, it had the hyperlink, so that was brand new to me.

at least two to three months ago. I accidentally clicked on someone's alias, and it opened a new window..

It would be nice if TER would create new board to announce new features like these that would keep us abreast with new changes....
