It's a bummer but feel glad that she had the good manners to call you....

I've had a few situations where I waited in my car and kept dialing and getting just a voice mail.  That's the time it really sucks.

Keep trying and thanks for sharing that.

Sure, but at least you saved half the drive.  Maybe she'll make it up to you...
Things do happen...  I've had to cancel when traffic came to a standstill on the interstate.  Left me frustrated & stuck.  We rescheduled for the next day.

Like mr.fisher said, she at least had the decency to call you and cancel.  Like him, I had a situation where I drove out to the location, and called back on the number and the provider just never picked up the phone at all.....along with a helpful message that the voicemail is full.

Even though frustrating, I give high props to the lady for calling and cancelling.

You're lucky, and you're 5 for 5 so far.  The more you hobby the more bumps in the road you'll encounter. It's all part of the experience. If this is the worst it get's for you, I'd be surprised. As others have said, she's to be applauded for calling.

Yes all of you are right she was very nice to call, I just had my hobby face on an it was dissapointing. But your right a hundred other things could have happened...so I feel good about that. I will give her another try for sure, she has alot of high marks. Thanks for the responses.TER rocks!

What happened to you has happened to just about everyone.  As you become more experienced, you'll learn the value of having a Plan B to implement in case of the last minute cancellation.

Do you mean Plan B as in another provider, or a just something else to do?

If you mean another provider how do you keep #2 on hold?
