I am brand new to all this. I finally paid for an account on here. I contacted a provider through email and she said she has a "screening process that would require a provider reference or a way to verify your work". This is my very first time. How do I verify myself? Do I have to sign up for one of those P411 or RS2K sites? Are there other ways?

...makes it easier. You can call them and discuss with them what's necessary to get verified. Paloma is correct not all providers are P411 members but you being a newbie need to stick to seeing well reviewed providers who are newbie friendly. Don't see ladies that aren't members of P411. Join P411. Find newbie friendly providers, research them here on TER, then follow their contact protocol to set a time and date to see one.
If you don't want to join P411 you can go through the providers screening. She will want some personal information. You have to decide what you're willing to give. P411 will work with you and you do it once not everytime you see a new provider. P411 providers can "OK" you once they have seen you. Then other P411 providers will use those ok's as references and see you. I need to note here there are P411 providers that will still want screening info even if you are a P 411 member with ok's. You'll have to decide if you want to give that up in order to see them.
If at some point you want to see a provider that isn't a P411 member you could ask the ones you have seen if they would be a reference for you and give their contact info to her.
I made in getting started. I HIGHLY recommend. After getting verified by them and after your first date (with a newbie-friendly lady) this world will open up to you with THOUSANDS of possibilities.
