If you have reviews to back yourself up, I think that is more important then having a website.
If your availability is constant, you should have a website. If not, then EROS ads should suffice. Just remember that by only running occasional ads, you could also interrupt a constant flow of reviews. When the ads expire, a review cannot be added until you have a valid ad to link to.
Even the free template websites are fine by me.
Are you more likely to see a provider who has a website vs. just an Eros ad?
And ladies, have you found a website to be beneficial or extraneous?
Thanks!
I always look at the ladies web site, the posted rates, pictures, and such as well as try to find out a little bit about her. I personaly don't like the cookie cutter sites and lie the sites where the gal put a little thought into it
especially with the current surge in fake ads that end up being cash-n-dashes, websites are a very important way to help verify authenticity
heinous
I will likely skip right past a lady if there is no website. I always go for the longer dates, usually dinner, and I enjoy reading the ladies' "about me" pages. It lets me know whether or not we are going to have any common interests. Face it, if we're sitting at the table in the restaurant, and we can't get past the weather, it won't be very enjoyable for either of us.
Those that have a a BP or CL ad only are usually thought of as skanks, or fly by nights, or lower quality. A decent site is important.
I have to second the "beneficial" vote. Your MOST important marketing tool is your website.

However, as others have said, it's not a deal breaker. Great reviews by known reviewers would get me to see you. A provider with a web site just seems more serious to me, than just a ph # in an ad. Also like an email address, and quick repsonses, with blackberries or I phones.
I'm guessing the professional website seems more, um, professional...
You can use weebly, that has free templates, but you can use your own full url instead of yourname.weebly.com.
I hate trying to get through some of the __.escortsite.whatever sites. They aren't well built or straightforward. Sites like weebly that aren't directed at escorts are much better, IMO, and much more customisable. Less tacky.
Also, please have an address where people can contact you for references up there and in plain site so other ladies don't have to go through the sometimes very lengthy info forms that are designed for your verifications.
The best sites rely less on 'how pretty and sexy it is' and more about getting to the information quickly and easily.
It does not have to be expensive or a lot of stuff.
Several pictures, different angles & dress & undress. Need not be totally explicit... leave some discvovery for the meeting but enough that I have an assurance they are really you, not borrowed somewhere. Blurred face is fine.
The basics of donation. How you want the donation located.
Some clue about services & the region you are located in.
Contact information (private email or your work phone).
YOU control your web site. You can easily remove it if you take a break.
skb
but if it's a tacky cookie cutter site I'm less likely to see her, and if its a nice custom site with good pics and content that tells me something about the lady's approach to the biz or her personality I am more likely to see her.
one of the girls on Eros and get mixed in to the line-up OR do you want to stand out, show creative pics with some nice written words to entice the potential client? Your call.
There are a few issues with the "free sites"
If you read the TOS of the "free" sites they say things like:
"If you upload, post, e-mail, or otherwise transmit any content, including but not limited to information, messages, software, photos, video, text, graphics, music, sounds, or other material, to us or anyone else via the Website, or if you send us suggestions, ideas, notes, drawings, or other information, all such content and information (the ‘Posted Content’) shall be deemed, and shall remain, our property."
"By uploading, posting, e-mailing, or otherwise transmitting any Posted Content to us or anyone else via the Website, you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant, to us an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully paid, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display, distribute, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, and otherwise exploit such Posted Content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such information and content, and to grant and authorize sublicenses of the foregoing."
"You also waive any and all ‘moral rights’ in all such Posted Content. By uploading, posting, e-mailing, or otherwise transmitting any Posted Content to us or anyone else via the Website, you consent to our use of your name, photograph, and/or likeness, address, voice, and statements made by or attributed to you, in perpetuity, in all media, technologies, and other formats now existing or later developed (including but not limited to print, broadcast, and Internet), for all business purposes, such as advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, notice, or approval, unless prohibited by law."
"If we registered a domain name for your use, or if we created a subdomain of one of our domain names for your use, that domain name or subdomain shall be deemed, and shall remain, our property. We have the right to control the use of all such domain names and subdomains, in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to change, modify, remove, or delete any and all such domain names and subdomains, in our sole discretion. We reserve the right to terminate your use or access to any such domain names and subdomains, or to switch you to a different domain name or subdomain, in our sole discretion."
"You acknowledge that once your website is lauched (template was applied) your page will be used by many of our escort robots for marketing and spread on the web"

Not really free when they own all of your content, your name, your image, etc. The cost can be a lot more than the price of professional design and hosting.
Also, since all that is required to create one of those free sites is an email address (and now that CL is charging and wanting credit cards, etc) they will be the new playing ground for rip-offs.
Lastly, a web site does indicate that you are professional and that you invest in your business.
Thank you for that VERY useful information. I am relatively new to this. Been strongly looking at the website option. Can I ask you, how much you charge for a relatively simple webpage? I would love to chat more with you id this is something you do, It had to approach just anyone with this line of work web page? Looking forward to hearing from you.
to link to my web design site or give you my email address here on the boards.
...and I don't have VIP right now...
and your profile isn't linked to your reviews so I can find an email address for you.
I have a few friends that might see this and PM you information, but I am pretty sure I am unable to at this time.
I think that having a website is an absolute "must". For the first 3 or 4 months at this I was word of mouth (via the local meet-n-greet) + excellent SEO (search engine optimization) on my site. My site is my "name".com, so it made it easy for guys at the meet-n-greets to find more info on me.
Having placed ads now (including an Eros ad), I think that my site definitely amps up my image.
Also, guys sometimes have a "fan" mentality, and while they may not contact you the first time finding your site, they might later (like when you add new pics, send a newsletter, post a blog, add new content...). It also has encouraged guys to repeat, in my experience so far.
I would invest either the time in making your own site (like I did) or money in paying for a professionally designed one, rather than using the various free options. A custom made site better reflects you, is considerably more flexible for changes as you grow in this, and is most likely going to be more search engine optimized than the free options out there.
Eros ads can disappear and the BP ads are well... a pain in the ass to weed through. CV ads are slightly better, except you can't know how current they are.
First is TER reviews and some kind of web ad (EROS, CV, etc), and then a regular web ad.
I guess a website for me, it is!
