LE likes to snag the "low hanging fruit" like streetwalkers or calls from low-rent motels with high traffic in and out of rooms.  

However, it is likely that LE is monitoring the regional boards in some localities, and who knows which vice cop may take it upon him/herself to write up a review in order to set up a sting.  In general, this is highly unnecessary; they really just need to post some hot pics on CL or BackPage, and guys who are thinking with their little heads instead of researching with their big heats will beat a path to LE's incall door.

In any event, if you read through a couple pages of this Newbie board, you will find that experienced guys look for providers with several reviews by guys with a history of several reviews.  It is highly unlikely LE would go to all that trouble, unless something other than escorting was involved in the investigation, like guns or drugs.  Remember Eliot Spitzer was caught because of the wires he sent, not in a prostitution sting.

Most LE will focus first on street prostitution or a place where it becomes a nuisance. Street prostitution enforcement arrests may help get the street walkers into drug rehab programs. Since most local police departments now operate on a reduced budget they have to put their efforts into where they can do the most good in terms of public safety.

TER casts a wary eye over new providers & new reviewers & you should too.  A provider with several reviews, at least some by seasoned reviewers (what we call a well reviewed provider), greatly improves your odds of avoiding LE and having a good time.
That said, TER is a public forum & like all hobby related sites, you must understand that it is likely viewed by LE, stalkers & others whom we would rather not meet.  Never compromise your or any one elses security in a post!

Is it unheard of for LE to be posing as a provider on TER with a couple of phony reviews.. ?  I could see this happening.

Back about 2002/2003, a well known case.  Can't mention the name of the site involved, per TER rules.

I know 3 cases where it happened onother boards, 2 besides the big one I think you're referring to.

Just look at when "you" signed up:  did anyone check your job description?  I doubt it.

Is it true that LE is usually more interested in SWs, CL, BP, etc?  Probably.  But there have been a number of high profile cases that had nothing to do with that end of the business but have touched several providers and clients who were members of boards.

Always apply reasonable caution.

Even if LE sets up a sting, there are several things hobbistd should always do when seeing someone for the first time:
1. Try to arrange for an outcall session - gives you more control of situation
2. Look to see who submitted reviews - best if at least one of providers reviewed is one you have seen
3. Notice how ad is worded; types of pics shown; whether prices are listed; mention services are for
   time only
4. Verify infor in ad when calling; take copy of ad with you
5. Upon arrival: check how "lady" is dressed (revealing boobs, etc), the more revealing the better
6. Lock door behind you, check to see if doors to bathroom and closets are closed and whether room
   can be entered from another way other than fron door
7. Type of greeting: Does she give hug, kiss, pat butt, place your hand on her  intimate areas
8. Show her ad, NEVER mention money, sex, or anything related; place envelope in conspicous area;  
9. NEVER hand envelope to her or mention contents
10. Does she ask for money upfront OR asks you to get "comfortable before engaging in further  
    conversation
11. Whether incall or outcall NEVER discuss sexual matters until BOTH are "comfortable"
12. Will be very difficult for sting to work if these procedures are followed - though not impossible
     (LE Just might lie about what was said by you )
13. If all else fails and you are busted; inform LE you do not care to make any statement without a
     lawyer of your choice being present and refuse to say anything else - period : STAY COMPOSED!
