I am working with a provider for my first foray into the hobby during a business trip next month.  Will she meet me in my room or want to meet in a more public place?  The hotel is connected with a convention center so there are many bars, lobbies etc in the place to make that initial connection.  Should I suggest something or wait and let her suggest something?  If in public, is it normal to chat for a bit or head straight up to my room?  Just trying to figure out what to expect so I can feel more at ease and make her comfortable with my nervousness.

Usually if your booking like a 4 hour dinner date you might meet in a public place first to have dinner and/or drinks before adjourning to a private setting, but if you've only booked an hour or two, most likely you go straight to privacy.

Suggest drinks , it's a great chance for both of you to connect.If she has quality reviews, this is quite natural for her.(something that would be the focal point after introductions).Always love to flirt and I view this as just that.(hopefully she does too).Since this is your "virgin "journey..it will give you a moment for any reservations to be addressed.Even if your session is only 1 hr,I think the rewards are worth it.

If she is coming to you and the date is only one or two hours, you should have her come straight to your room. You have to be careful about meeting an escort in public. You don't want to run into anyone you know while around the convention center.

Sometimes hotels require a room key (key card) to access certain floors or use the elevator which means you need to pick her up to get to your room. To do this you will need to figure a meeting spot around the lobby without making it obvious what is going on.

It is fine to meet at a bar for a quick drink and chat if you want but don't get carried away because you are on the clock.

Tell her this is your first time. She will know what to expect and be prepared to handle any situation that arises.

She is visiting you. She expects you to take the lead with some of the logistics involved like meeting time, place etc.

if this date is incall (you go to her) or outcall (she comes to you).  If you haven't clarified this, you should.  If she has a web site, check it to see if she offers outcall.  Some providers only do one or the other, but not both.  You can also check this out on her review page.  Also bear in mind that its customary for her outcall rate to be higher.  In general, incalls are safer than outcalls.  In any event, if there's any uncertainty on your part about this you should contact her.
Be careful not to ask about rates or sex acts prior to the date.  That information should be available in her ad, web site or reviews.
