When I put in my zip, which is in Manhattan, it always says there is nothing available.  Am I doing something wrong?

There is no place to enter "zip." you can search by city, or area code, among a whole bunch of other paremeters.

If you are talking about searching something else you need to explain.

I apologize, it's when I am looking for reviews.  I figured I would start by finding a good review and since I live in Manhattan can travel wherever.  When I put my zip, it always says nothing comes up.  When I dont, I get some NYC results but also people from other states.  And on the bottom right of the page, there are 1,2,3,4,5 and when I click on them it says it cannot find anything.

The TER search does not use ZIP code.
On the search screen you will see country and then CITY under it.  You can select an item from the CITY drop-down list.

You can also search be area code.
I tried city= "New york" and area code= 516, which is Long Island.

But area won't always work because people move. For example a person gets a cell phone number in Boston and then moves to NYC and keeps her number.

Like are you putting in "escorts 10022" or something?

Because that's a really, really shitty way of doing any kinda research.
