Is this normal?

I am new to the hobby and so far I have had no joy.  I contacted four providers.  Two never responded to my e-mails.  A third declined to see me because I did not have a reference.  A fourth agreed to see me after I registered with a verification service but canceled the day of claiming she had a personal isue to deal with.  My question is just the way it is and I should just be patient or am I doing something wrong.

It's hard to say if you are doing something wrong or not but your experiences are not isolated by any means.

Be sure not to be too explicit in emails about services or rates.  Being declined for having no references is not unusual at all and having an appointment cancel is also not out of the ordinary. Did she offer to re-schedule or simply blow you off?

Patience pays off in the long run but getting started can be rough.

You must read all info the lady provides in her ad &/or web site.  You must never mention sex & money.
I find it is helpful to state you are new & let her know you'll comply with anything she needs to be comfortable meeting you.
Best of luck,
skb

I had a friend once that had this method when we would go out on the town.  It was a numbers game to him.  He didn't have a suave approach, but pretty distinct.  He would simple approach a woman and ask "Do you wanna F***?"

Granted, NOT the best approach, NOR is it the gentlemen thing to do. BUT it worked.  Sure it didn't work 100% of the time HOWEVER his theory was "Can't all of them say no".  Genius! He was right, eventually someone would say yes.  Not always the sparkling diamond in the room, but he never went home alone.

What's my point?  Ok, so you've had 4 negative responses.  Ask 4 more.  The worst they are going to say is "no".

Follow the tips of the two posters above, do your research, use etiquette in emails and phone conversations.  Don't let the no reference thing stand in your way.  Everyone has got to start somewhere and the providers know this.

TER, is a good place to start, there are others that some of these ladies will use in lieu of having references.  Preferred411, Date Check, RoomService2000.......

happy hobbying

Being a newbie myself, I couldn't agree more with these gentleman. From a new provider perspective, it's equally challenging when you don't yet have reviews, and you're still learning the basic rules of engagement. It will be worth the effort in the long run,  so don't give up...I certainly do not intend to!
