Is this some sort of local license? You may want to ask about this on your local board or on the legal corner...and proof read before you re-post. What you are asking is unclear.

They are for things like strip clubs and X- rated bookstores.  As you might guess, it takes quite a bit of doing to get one and zoning laws resrict the locations very tightly.

They are certainly not issuing them for escorts, but if they start to, don't worry, you'll all know about it.

As for getting a bust off your record, that is something you need to speak to a lawyer in your area about.

(still not a lawyer)

First and foremost freedomchild, the best place to ask that question on TER is the Legal Corner board.  It will never replace the advice of your attorney,  and as so elegantly pointed out in the lessons posted by Ciara, if you are going to pursue this business, you will want to get to know one real soon!  As others have suggested, you may want to post with more clarity and details about what you were charged with.  It might help if you reveal under which statute and in what jurisdiction you were arrested, this might help a legal eagle to come up some ideas.  But again, you need to meet with a YOUR LAWYER!

Below is an example of what freedomchild is referring to from Maricopa County (Phoenix).  I expect that these laws are much more common than you'd think.  While this present version was adopted in 97, it has been in existence in on form or another since at least the mid-80's.

Most providers, whether FBSM, GFE, private dancer, or even simply a bachelor party stripper, could be construed to be required to have such a license.  Most of the ladies we call providers don't bother, and why would they.  Give the authorities your real name, real address, fingerprints, and swear under oath that you will not engage in sex acts in the course of your business?  It is a no win situation.  Either you are caught operating without a license, or you are caught violating your license.

In the bad old pre-TER days, a few gals used this as license to steal!!!  They'd advertise in the local "gentleman's" paper offering French, Greek and Russian lessons, or some other message indicating that sex was available, but if you saw license number in her ad, you could always expect that it would be self-service and unsatisfying.

"self-service" greek and french.  All I can say is that the mere thought paints a mental picture that is so warped of a guy with a bendable, 14 inch *** (kind of like what you would suspect the old cartoon character "Gumby" of having, if he had one)...

I know, sometimes I have a rather "warped" and "sick" mind!!!
