I'm a newbie (and VIP Member). I tried clicking the "ADD TO FAVORITES" button on the review of a provider I wanted to be first on my Favorites List. Nothing seemed to happen. I checked my Favorites List, and it was still empty. The "REPORT A PROBLEM" button appears to be inoperative, too, although the "BACK" and "LINK TO THIS REVIEW" buttons do work. I tried using both Mozilla and Explorer, but had identical results. Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem?
First, when I ADD TO FAVORITES, I get a little window that pops up temporarily that says SEND MAIL. And when I REPORT A PROBLEM a window pops open with a text box to submit the report. If you have a pop-up blocker, it might interfere with these operations. I've never used pop-up blockers, so I can't tell you how to turn them off.
If that's not it, I think JAVA needs to be enabled in order to ADD TO FAVORITES. For my version of Explorer, this is done under PREFERENCES > WEB BROWSER > JAVA > make sure ENABLE JAVA is checked. Mozilla is probably similar.
If these don't work, and you don't get a satisfactory answer after the Labor Day Holiday, you might try to conatact the TER staff. Make sure you're logged in. Click on CONTACT US at the top of the page. Then, in your case, you should click on REPORT A TECH ISSUE. Then fill out the form.
I also had this posted on the General board, and the problem was pointed out to me there. I turned off the pop-up blocker on my Norton Internet Secirity, and all was well. Since I run Mozilla, I still get no pop-ups.
