I know that writing reviews takes a lot of time and effort; that's why I personally view reviews are like a bonus.  I don't expect a hobbyist to write a review, but I appreciate it when he does ^_^

a hobbyist post reviews or not? Would you or would you not schedule a date if they do not post reviews and why?

Otherwise, the reviews get skewed.

I know it's nice for providers to get reviews, but if they are canned or pressured, they are useless.

And we all know that this definitely happens.

It doesnt matter to me if a guy does or not.  Some just don't like to.  As long as a guy passes my screening I am fine with that.  Although I welcome reviews they are not required to see me.  Reviews are just another avenue to help both providers and hobbyists conduct their research.  However, it is not the only avenue.

Sincerely...

some want them..some do not want them..some could care less..i always ask what they prefer..

other than that, I require full name and employment. I need a record of what you've done, what you're into, etc. before I make up my mind to accept or decline an appt. Yea, I am an odd ball in this, but I have my reasons. There are many things I like to know about a guy that a ref won't tell me, so being able to read his reviews, tells me a lot.

giving out my handle. A while back I was trying to set an appointment with a hottie and contacted her through PM. She went and read all the reviews and started quizzing me. It was very awkward for me. She approved me, but I declined, because I thought it would be very awkward to meet her. I am not saying that you do it, but its starting to get more and more common with gals. Now, I use my DateCheck..

Nah, I don't quiz potential suitors lol. It is just a guide for me to go by. I look at it this way....if a guy is too scared to even be honest about having a review handle, he has something to hide or is trying to 'trick" me in some way, like Ridgetucky said.

We ladies have very LITTLE to go by when it comes to the men we see, and taking that option away from us just makes screening even harder. You guys have our photos, reviews, etc. but what do we have? Not much. Would you rather up your real info or your handle? For me, it is one or the other.

In my mind I am not going to do anything "funny", but of course you wouldn't know that.

Now, if girls were not so quick to jump on NBL and other lists for smallest of reasons, or sometimes completely made up reasons, then guys would feel more comfortable sharing their info..

So, I guess it goes both ways..

True, but who cares if your handle is on some BL site. Did not stop Herpius from seeing providers lol. Better your handle than your real name, I would think. FYI, guys like you that I know from here, would not be the issue. It would be a new guy, in a strange city, coming at me with no info. I would have cause to question.

but now I don't, one way or the other. They're so subjective that there's not much in them you can count on, excepting either consistently decent-good reviews or consistently poor reviews. Anything in between is just personal preference.

They're fantastic for ladies starting out, and I also notice a definite increase in emails when I have a review posted (in fact, I can usually tell when a review has been posted just by checking my email. "Wow, I got a sudden increase in emails over the past 12 hours- I must have gotten a new review!). Other than that, I rarely check to see if someone has written reviews, so no, it doesn't influence my decision to make a date.

I was thinking if it made the diffrernce between being accepted for a date. I just need to build up my references as a newbie so I can meet those that ask for basic +1 and +2.

I like guys that are discreet with no reviews that dont post on boards. Just my preference.
