I am a new member and don't seem to be able to post to any of the other boards.  I'm hoping this one takes.  Do I need a review (or reviews) before I can post?  Do I need to be a VIP member?  Just wondering -thanks in advance.

Your post will be reviewed and then approved by the moderated before it will appear on the boards.

all new members. Once the moderator on the board that you post on most has a feel for your style, the moderation may be removed. If it is removed your posts appear instantly. Having an unmoderated membership requires that you consistently follow TER rules on posting. The rules are reasonable and commonsense, so they should not cause you problems.

I don't do outragous posts and I have a lot of reviews, but my posts still take a day to appear in the 3 boards I visit (General, Newbie, and my local).

I guess it is because I don't post that often. Maybe 4-8 a month.

Try sending a PM to the moderator on your local board and ask to be unmoderated.

I am having the same problem!  I have tons of questions.  Tired of being ripped off, yet none of my posts show up.

I PMed RCProNo1. I think he is my local Moderator (DC). Last question, once it is changed on the local side will that affect my ability to post on the General and Newbie?

Yes - once your account is unmoderated, all of your posts will appear immediately, regardless of discussion board.

He is a good guy..
