A special girl I know had genital herpes and I'm worried about catching something even if using a condom because it doesn't cover everything.  I look forward to some CG, but the thought of some asymptomatic shedding gives me pause...

If I wear my underwear in addition to the condom is that going to make it too uncomfortable for her?  Will it protect me at all?  Is it unnecessary?

Definitely the best advice, but I must say that I just can't see any doctor going along with the underwear theory.

wearing underwear isn't going to protect you at all.

there's a TV ad running that helps with Herpes and is saying that 70% of people that were infected by Herpes were with partners who never showed any sypmtoms...

Do some research and you'll find that this stat may not be 100% accurate but close to it.

There is no way to positively know if someone is infectous since they may not know.

You keep seeing a provider that you know has herpes????  Dude, find another "special girl." There are plenty out there.

find out when she has an outbreak and make sure you don't have sex at this time.
