If you're an outcall provider ; GET A GPS!!red_smile

The frustrations, frayed nerves and LOST INCOME from needlessly getting lost trying to find your appointments location is just plain STUPID.

A turn by turn, voice prompting GPS navigation system will cost one $200 or less, and they're so simple to install & use that an autistic with Downs Syndrome can figure them out.

With an average of $250 - $500 on the line for every appointment I cannot see the logic in someone who fell asleep in 'Map reading 101' penuriously avoiding a capital investment in their business that will pay for itself many times over within a week.

"simple to install & use that an autistic with Downs Syndrome can figure them out."

Please consider modifying your post. I have worked with that population and it's just plain rude to make a comment like that.

was in excessively bad taste, especially since the issue at hand was the appropriateness of the OP's reference to Autism and Down's syndrome. There are probably quite a few providers and hobbyists on the boards who have a child or sibling so affected.

and RR's reference was exactly that, Humor. If he said "even a retard could do it" he would be offending retards(excuse me, "mentally challenged").

My point is, you can't go through life afraid of offending someone. Humor is always going to offend someone, some people just need to lighten up. I refuse to walk on eggshells over fear of offending those who are overly sensitive.

Would it have been better to say "Even a clueless, vapid minded broad who let all her boy friends and admirerers do her homework and term papers in school for her, thus leaving her ill equiped to now function productively in our society save for selling her pussy can install & operate a GPS" ?

Get off the Goddamn PC bandwagon; because I can ALWAYS come up with something ten times ruder or more Politically INcorrect if you push me.

YOU have NO idea of MY "capacity for rudeness" nor my skills at the genteel.

If you think that RRO's post was insentive you need to read some of Ben's or Fuzzy's posts.

Actually what you really need to do, is lighten up already.

anything anyone says here is open to comment and scrutiny by others. I will comment as I see fit.

I have every right to not give a fuck.

If you are not careful I am going to organize a "who can be the most offensive poster" contest. Besides RRO and myself, I am inviting BenDover, Fuzzy, and every other misognyist, crude, and insensitive asshole who has ever posted on TER, Including those from the P&R Board. You have been warned!!! ROFLMAO

bring it on. I'll have a good laugh. Any support there is for the dumb ass jock approach to humor will only show how intellectually bankrupt it really is.

well I can honestly say, that I didnt take offense to it, and people who know me well, know I have a child who is autistic, now, if most of you arent aware, autism is a spectrum disorder, you can have it very severe ( like in rainman) or you can have it very mild,
that being said, unless you make a joke specifically about MY kid, I wont take offense.
