If you think about it....

a personal check has many advantages over cash:

No trip to the bank, no worries if stolen (They can call you to have it cancelled.), no bulk.

Of course, the relationship between the provider and the client has got to be rock solid.  Also, the client has to have a means to conceal these checks from spouses.

I do this now with a number of regulars, especially on overnight where the fee tops a grand.  Sometimes I do a combination of cash/check if the provider needs a little spending loot until she can get to the bank.

I don't like to get C notes from the teller at the bank.  It's a pain in the ass to park and wait in line rather than go through the drive through ATM, plus I get a funny feeling that they are going to drop a dime on me to the Feds for being a drug dealer or worse.

I'm just starting out, and have scheduled an evening with a provider.  I don't feel comfortable asking her prior to our meeting, so I'll ask here.............Any thoughts on what size bills to use for the donation.  I'm imagining that hundreds would be easier to manage, but read somwhere that providers may not like being paid in large bills?

Thanks.

I think the concensus on this board is that 20's are the favorite denomination of currency for the hobby. However, I understand that pretty much everyone pays in 20's, so in order to stand out in the minds of the providers a little better, I might use multiple denominations, but nothing smaller than 10's. For a girl who charges $300, I might pay two 50's, five 20's, and ten 10's, and if the session was stellar I'd leave a C-note (a 100 dollar bill, that is) as a tip.

On of these days, AND NOBODY BETTER TAKE MY IDEA, I will walk into the session with a large water jug that I've been filling with loose change (counted, of course). This will ensure that the provider will remember me. :)

...you do realize she will turn your ass right around to get that jug changed into bills? :)

b-

...meaning, in the future, down the road a ways, I will do this when I get to know a provider well enough for this sort of thing to be considered "endearing". Of course this sort of thing will weird out someone I'm visiting for the first time, and anyway I would have to wait until the jug is full.

I can't think of a better way to UN-endear yourself with a lady....Lol, let us know how it turns out though...

and with the right lady you just might get away with it, but I'd never try!!!

Along this line, there is one worse idea.  Take your jug to a Coinstar and then give her the receipt to cash in herself.  I'm sure you'd be remembered!

Benjamins only! less bulk in the envelope

Under $300, I'll pay with $20's. Otherwise, I'll use C notes. If she is a traveling lady, I figure she would rather have larger denoms (smaller wad to carry around).

However, cash is cash. So I wouldn't worry about it.

so much easier to count quickly and tuck into my wallet wen I'm leaving. (That big wad of 20s gets awkward!)

But, why not honor our first president--George Washington.  Just kidding Tabu.  Bens it will be later this month.  I can't wait to ...

I use 20s because that's what the ATM gives out.  In previous threads on this topic, the bottom line is money is money, no matter what the denominations.

When I can get to the bank I prefer 100's and so does my ATF. Its just less bulk to handle and it's much easier to count when she is settling up with her agency or going to the bank. Of course, when I can't get to the bank or when I am traveling I get 20's from the ATM and trust me, no lady will ever have a problem with that!

So, after discussing this, it seems that 100's are preferred because they take up less space, and that loose change is in general a bad thing to give to providers.

In previous threads, I remember reading that 20's are more easily broken and are more widely accepted at more types of establishments, so this might be more helpful for her unless she's taking it straight to the bank.

Also, it might be worth mentioning that there are hazards when traveling: losing your purse or haveing it stolen. Losing that single wad of 100's (meaning the provider's income from the trip) in your purse is worse than losing one of many wads of 20's. When I was a world traveller back before ATMs and debit cards, I made a habit of putting a wad in each bag so I didn't lose it all in the event that one got lost or stolen.

Of course you can do that with 100's as well, and maybe the ladies prefer seeing Ben Franklin over anyone else. Ladies, do you prefer Ben Franklin? Is he sexier than Grant, Jackson, Hamilton, Lincoln, or Washington?

Anything green works for most ladies.  I don't think a lady would say, "Do you have any larger bills?" if you give her 15-twenties for a one hour appointment.

As long as it's green, unless it's euros, and it doesn't jingle I'm fine with any denomination. Checks, paypal etc....no way. Not for me. I want no papertrails, internet trails, nothing. I have nothing in my name so if anything happened, nothing could be seized except my laptop. Did I just veer off topic? Sorry.

due to her schedule, I arranged a shorter than desired visit, but once I arrived she let me know that some more time was available.  The little head said YES!!  Of course the little head forgot that the big head always plans to show up with only enough cash for the visit, the little head has lured the big head into up-selling situations way too many times.

Unfortunately, I didn't have quite enough cash to cover the added fee.  Here in the UK, there are only 5, 10 and 20 pound notes, or bills.  Everything else is coins, and your loose change can often be 10 or 20 pounds.  I had to make up the last £10 in coins, for which I apologized.  She said, "No problem, money is money".

I'm just thinking out loud here, but it seems to me that an asshole wouldn't ponder this question for a moment. He'll give her what he feels like giving her and that's that. The considerate guy will make a special trip to the bank/ATM if necessary to get the denominations he thinks the woman prefers. It might be an indicator of how he will treat providers in general.

1.  The providers can visually see if the donation is correct just by seeing it for a few seconds....with 20's, it might be embarrassing for her to try to count it right there to know its correct... Her being able to see the donation is correct before the session starts, puts her at ease.
2.  The bulk of 20's make it more likely to be counted incorrectly....say, the donation is $700 or more...if you're counting fast, you might make a mistake.  I've caught the bank teller miscounting a couple of times... Imagine showing up with the wrong donation...she would think you were trying to short change her.  With $100 bills, there's really not that much room for error.  Everyone can count from between 5 to 15, without making a mistake.
3.  Like some astutely pointed out, it's faster to count 100's...you'll be saving her a lot of time just giving the bens. 20's sometimes you have to recount several times just to make sure its correct because there is just so many bills.
4. 20s are bulky...the girl would have to carry around a huge stack and walk into the bank with that....It would be just as conspicuous for a girl to walk into a bank with wads of 20's...if she has several donations...than it could literally be a 5 inch stack of 20's. plus for guys, its bulky too...I can barely close my wallet with them.

I used to use 20's...probably because it looks impressive to have a half inch stack, but soon realized that it was impractical in a lot of ways...and the girl I see seems to like it when I put the bens.  Since I'm a regular, I don't even bother with the envelope...just put it out in the open so she can see it and be assured that it's correct.  Also, I don't use mixed denominations because it gets confusing.

I agree bens are probably best, if you don't have time to get them 20's usually work. In Vegas the ATM's spit out bens, so that's where I've used them the most. Here in cali it's hard for me to get to a bank during business hours due to work, so it can be 20's most of the time...either way I've heard no complaints.
