... for your picture, then you have the right to ask for her face picture that is unblurred and untouched.
You can respond by telling her that you are willing to show her your photo ID in person and she must reciprocate.
If she refuses to see you, then it's a strong possibility that she may be LE or working with LE.

I am a newbie. Now I have preferred 411 account. Provider (which i want to see) is asking for my pic. I don't mind sending it but i feel uncomfortable. Is it is common for provider to ask pic to newbies? Your responses will be appreciated. thanks in advance.

If you feel uncomfortable sending a pic, don't do it. If she insists, I suggest moving on, unless you want to give in to her. If you have an SO, I would not recommend giving her a pic of yourself, otherwise, it's up to you.
in your area, ones who take guys with no OKs. See a couple of them and get them to OK you. After that you should be able to see anyone without giving out photos or anything else.
.....if a gentleman has a corporate profile or a Linkedin account, one is usually posted. A few gentlemen do post photos on P411, but not many. On the other hand, you do have her photo, why can't she have yours?

Actually, I have seen a very reputable provider asking for a pic. If you are coming to her residence especially. I believe there are two reasons behind this. The first reason may be that she had an experience something like I had once. A private number kept calling me for an appt. I kept ignoring him until he finally called me with an open number. He tells me he has been to see me before, although I did not have record of his number. He knows where I live and asks if he can visit shortly and I say yes. He shows up at my door and is clearly not the voice who called me. I did not see him and was shocked what lengths people will go to. Secondly, some providers won't see someone who is young or questionable looking. If she sees that you trust her enough with a small pic you are a serious visit. She obviously cares about her safety and that is the hallmark of a good provider. After all, you know what she looks like and you expect to see her according to her photos so why shouldn't she at least have some idea of who is visiting. Additionally, some people will make an appt. and no show. If she sees your picture she won't mistake you for someone who no showed on her and you will have her appreciation. It's terrifying to see what lengths men will go to try to get away with something obviously feeling that a provider is easy pickings for a man with trouble on his mind.
I would not do it, but that is up to you. How would she know that the pic you send is even you? She would not, so what's the point? I might ask a reference for a physical description to make sure the guy she gave an ok to is the same one, but I don't need your photo beforehand. I also don't check ID, because once you are there I am busted or dead once I open the door.
Newbie here as well and in a similar situation! I contacted a provider with very good reviews on TER. My biggest issue is getting screened as I am a graduate student finishing in the coming months. Like many providers, her policy requests references/employment/P411 . Unable to provide these at this time, she asked for a picture which is well within her rights for her safety. However, having a picture out there makes me uncomfortable as well. A lot of the information already posted has been very helpful, but also hoping to get any feedback regarding this issue. Thanks in advance!
