Maybe an hour during busy times. Posts from newbies are moderated to give TER a chance to check things out and make sure they meet their specifications.
Now, if it's been over an hour, and the ad isn't up, go to MY TER and then to the Other drop down menu and click on My Posts. If it was rejected, it will say so and why.
Did you read the Instruction Manual for TER about posting ads? There a bit to it, and if you didn't do things right, then TER will not publish the ad.
...you are touring (or just going to the next city over for a few days) and you post on that cities TER regional ad board you have to put the dates of your time there in the Subject Line of the post.
Check the link below. Look at the second paragraph under the section on "How often may ads be posted?".
