If it is Trich., here is a possible excuse

Sorry to hear about your scare.  Hope it is not trichomoniasis, but if it is just tell your wife your dick ate some undercooked pork and all should be well. Seriously, trichomoniasis is caused by a single-celled organism that is frequently encountered in undercooked meats.  Best of luck and hope it all works out for you.

I've had quite a few sexual encounters of a professional nature through the years but until my last one these had all involved zero-risk activities for STD's.

26 Days ago I had a "date" with an escort who was fairly "high-end" and "well-reviewed", as they say.  With a couple of glasses of wine in me I did not object when she climbed on top of me, sans condom, and started rubbing her clit with my penis and even inserting it slightly. Had she continued I'm pretty certain I would have objected but it all happened very quickly before she proceeded to a BBBJ, culminating with CIM, something I have also never had before.

I became immediately concerned about contracting an STD but not overly so, based on the experience of so many in this forum, as well as my own reading about the true risks of STD's.

On day 17 after the incident, being completely asymptomatic, I had sex with my wife.

On day 21, four days later, she began to complain of intense pain when urinating. I cannot begin to describe my reaction when she told me that (though I suspect many on this forum could well imagine it). I rate it right up there with hearing a diagnosis of cancer in a loved one, as it would surely have been the end of my marriage if it all came to light.

I immediately got myself tested and also encouraged my wife to start taking some antibiotics we had sitting around the house. Her symptoms disappeared quickly and I just got my test results today - all negative for gonorrhea, chlamydia, HIV, and Herpes 2.

I am greatly relieved, to say the least, but I'm not completely out of the woods yet. Studing the matter intensely there is still one STD that I could have possibly passed on to her and that is trichomoniasis. Unfortunately, it is undetectable in men so there is no way to test for it. Based on what I read it seems extremely unlikely that I contracted this from the activities mentioned but it is not theoretically impossible. The odds are probably better than winning the lottery and as you know, that does happen.

I'm posting this in the newbie section and hope they publish it as a public service announcement because I read questions about the risks of STD's here all the time. I'm not making any recommendations to others but I can tell you that as far as I am concerned, the anxiety alone, both before and after the experience, leads me to conclude that it was absolutely not worth it.

Not a doctor but I think you are talking about trichinosis which is not the same thing. According to what I read it is was once believe that you could get Trichomoniasis from non-sexual activities but most experts now believe it is exclusively related to vaginal intercourse. I technically didn't have that, or at least I don't think so, so I do think it is unlikely.

Condoms improve the odds of avoiding STDs, but they are not 100% effective.

Just sayin

Depends on your definition of "sex" I guess. The ones I engaged in were in the BDSM realm and I can assure you they were zero-risk for STDs even without a condom.

Yes, activities within the true realm of BDSM are most likely without sex. However, any exchange of fluids from BDSM activities are still risky if these are done as part of the session.

Not passing judgement, but further concerning is your wife's symptoms. If she indeed had some female issu,e unrelated to your incidence, how would you know the self medicating of the antibiotics is not just masking a more serious female problem. Additionally, how do you know the antibiotics she took are not going to further create a breeding ground for other female problems such as a yeast infection. All things to consider. Obviously, you are mentally and emotionally"paying" the price for the moment of pleasure :) Hopefully others can learn from your mistake.....

Just sayin.......

Have fun and play safe!!

My wife bought the antibiotic (amoxicillin) for our medicine cabinet herself when we were out of the country. She is also a medical professional.

You said you also received a BBBJ in addition to the other activity.... Trich can be spread through ANY unprotected sex, including oral & anal, & can live in the throat, just as can gonorrhea or chlamydia, which can then be passed to someone through oral sex.

Now that I have been forced to learn more about STD's I've discovered that there are two kinds of information out there. There are those, in the majority, like the government source you cited which simply tell you what CAN happen, meaning if there is any theoretical risk or any recorded instance of it ever happening, then it CAN happen. And then there are other sources, much fewer in number who tell you what really DOES happen in practice.

I have no facts to base this on, but I recall something similar happening from my youth. I think that some women are sensitive to their husbands having relations with another woman. Something in the body chemistry of the other woman doesn't jibe with your wife, and whatever it is, you carried it around with you for over 2 weeks.

I remember in my youth having 2 relationships concurrently. Seemed that Girl A always complained of "issues" if I saw her shortly after I was with Girl B. Girl B never had any issues... No STDs in either direction were passed.

You will probably never know what the root cause is, especially sense you self-medicated your wife...

there are specific meds for this...  if that is what it is.  It is a  parasite that is generally cureable.   You'll just have to ride this one out.   However, don't panic & confess everthing before you know for sure.
A Fav lady told me of a guy...  had a burning down there...  paniced & confessed all to his wife.  (Wife called provider, how she found out.)   Divorce was in the works...  The thing is...  it was not STDs.  He'd been out doing yard work without gloves, peed behind a tree...  never washed his hands, of course.  Antibiotics were of no use for his poison ivy!

Hope this works out for you.

PS Condoms are the way to go now...  but those of use who lived through the 60s & 70s...  I never used condoms (with Civie GFs) until 1980s...

The antibiotic was amoxicillin and from what I read it definitely does NOT work on Trich so the fact that she got better leads me to believe it was not Trich (actually she started getting better all by herself before even taking the amoxicillin). I am now of the opinion that it was just a complete coincidence (or a warning from God). She originally told me she had never had anything like it before but she later said she did remember it once before when she was younger.

If her symptoms come back I believe I now have the perfect solution, if it is Trich. We just returned from a trip overseas in which I contracted an amoeba and had to take an amoebacite. I actually have been feeling a bit ill of late and was thinking of getting some more of the medicine just in case I didn't knock it all out. Well, it looks like I finally caught a break in all of this. Doing some research the amoebacite happens to be the exact same medicine used for Trich.
