How do you handle deposits? A provider I'm looking at says that any dates over 2 hours require a deposit but this seems problematic on a few levels.

Since you are new, I would advise against seeing a provider that requires a deposit. I think deposits are just to risky. Depending on where you are, there should be several providers who don't require a deposit even for longer visit. You may want to do a shorter visit initially with other providers before scheduling 2 hours.

Not the 1st or the tenth time.. but for a 3 hour date and at the request viiaphone fromthe provider.. Discussing money isn't really the issue...opney is fortime.. but never discuss specific sexual acts..

/I ask for deposits; especially if a gentleman reserves an extended date, or travel.  I am very low volume, and will not take myself "off the market" without a deposit.

Some ladies are even stricter with the deposit requirement when the prospective client is a newbie with few or no references. Unfortunately, many ladies experience a higher flake rate with inexperienced clients who may not realize the ramifications for NCNS or last-minute cancellations.

A longer date is one of the acceptable exceptions to the NO DEPOSIT rule.  But I'd not book such a date unless I'd had a successful hour meeting first.  
The deposit is a tempting scenerio for a RIP OFF, she has your money, has provided no service & a contract for an illegal service can not be enforced.  Once she has your money, there is nothing to stop her from blocking your calls & suddenly becoming unavailable.  Sometimes it happens EVEN after successful H meetings.  
Unless the selected Gal has a been around a long time with a good record of being trustworthy, then I'd refuse.  
It's your call, of course.  Do your research before, not after.

You may hear from different providers that deposits are standard practice and while there are many who can be trusted, there are also many who will gladly take your money only to have something come up and never be heard from again.
Deposits require trust and that trust is a one way street. She wants the money in advance because she doesn't trust you to keep your commitment because she has has been flaked on before but thinks you should trust her, and send money to someone you don't know with the hope that she will keep her commitment to you.  
Many have given deposits with no problem and many others have wondered what the hell happened as they sit with blue balls and an empty wallet.

reserve an hour without a deposit.  I would move on if that were a requirement.

I would suggest that you just book for two hours with here (since she doesn't require a deposit for this) and if things go well talk to her about extending the date when the two hours is up. That way the only risk is that she has another appointment and can't (you still had two hours of fun) as opposed to losing the deposit if she doesn't show up.

and that is if, and only if, you ask the lady to lay out hard cash on your behalf on a first appointment.

Now by laying out "hard cash" I don't mean paying for an incall location that she will be using for multiple clients. I mean special expenditures such as plane tickets to come see only you, booking a hotel room in a hotel that "you" request, things over and above the normal cost of business for a provider.

Aside from those very narrow circumstances, I am 100% with Jack on this, and since I never ask a lady to lay out money on my behalf, I have never, and most likely never will, pay any kind of deposit to a hooker, and my advice to the OP is to do the same. As even the ladies have said, if you don't like her rules, "move on". Sound advice, just move on to the next one, there are thousands of women more than happy to take your money AFTER you actually get to meet them.

One last thing, even great reviews are no guarantee that she won't take your money and never deliver a thing. There have been several well reviewed TER ladies who have simply taken the money of clients and never given them a thing in return. It's rare, but it happens.

WAY WAY WAY too many girls out there that don't ask/require a deposit.

The ladies posting here may well be trust worthy (I've never met them so I can't say either way) but even they can't say that RIP OFFS don't happen just as we describe.  They are perhaps the exception which proves the rule.  
Most of my dates are an hour & even 2 hours, I've never been asked for a deposit.  NEVER.  I would not consider it for  less than an extended night out of dinner & dancing, an overnight, or a fly to me.    
I'm not in that market so, no, I'm not going to pay a deposit.  Maybe if I hit the lottery...

Thanks everyone. I'm going to see how it goes but given I'm fairly new I'm probably going to avoid the extra complication of a deposit. I can see both sides here, though, and it is definitely a touchy subject.

If she has a good track record, why not? It beats going to the atm and carrying $20 bills.

I have seen a few times and gotten to know and developed a lot of trust. Of course those same ladies have gotten to know me and developed trust, so they never ask me for a deposit.

it's your own risk level you have to weigh, and how badly you want to see a certain lady. Your main question here seemed to be "how do you send a deposit to a provider?" not "should you send a deposit to a provider?" The answer to that question is that the provider will tell you. If you do end up seeing a provider that requires a deposit, she will let you know how to get it to her, and there are multiple discreet methods used.

and only because she has a stellar reputation and it was in exchange for a reduced rate. Basically she bought appointment insurance from me, so both parties received something of value. Worked for me, smart of her.

Of course what sucks equally is when a guy does the exact same thing, 89Springer comes to mind, drives for hours, lays out considerable money for hotel, etc. and then gets left there with his dick in his hand when the lady doesn't show up. Maybe there should be some kind of "reverse deposit" in those cases? lol

AAR, I agree completely that if a lady is going to be at risk of wasting anything more than her time, and even her time, if we are talking about enough of it. A deposit does seem reasonable. A deposit to secure a two hour date at the woman's incall is beyond the pale however, and IMO should never even be considered by a guy with any sense in his head.

I love my deposit incentive. Tons of guys take advantage of it even though it's optional.  

I had a guy recently try to book me for a multi-hour date in a city two hours from me on NYE, but didn't want to pay a deposit. I was actually pretty astounded that he expected me to spend $50 on gas, $200 on a hotel, and cancel plans with friends on a holiday with no assurance whatsoever. That's an absurd thing to ask.  

...through different venues like Gift Rocket, GreenDot MoneyPak, and Vanilla Visa.  All painless, and you don't have to reveal any of your actual information.  Neither does the provider.

I might have to change my mind with you. I looked at your website and photos and would not only send you a deposit, but I would also give you my car if that is what it takes

I recently got burned on a deposit. I was traveling and booked an appointment with a double team that required a deposit, either credit card or vanilla reload. No way in heck was I giving them my credit card, so I went the vanilla route. They took the money and no-showed on me. I am glad I didn't give my c/c. Sad thing is they had a few good reviews on here. Lesson learned.
