But to head you in the right direction on some of this:

Join a screening service if you have no references.  Research the subject on this board as there is a lot of info here on it.

There is no such thing as a valid LE check.  The way to avoid LE is to only see well reviewed providers, and be very discreet in your communications.

We were all nervous on the first step (and the second, the third, etc.)  It perfectly natural.  Once you get a good experience you'll be very happy with this.

read the self help center.  It's link is underneath the life preserver on this page.  P411 is Preferrede411, a verification site, like DateCheck and RoomService2000.  P411 will work with you on getting you verified, as will the others I believe.  On P411, providers also can indicate if they are newbie friendly, which  is what you need to look for.

LE check is pretty much worthless, although many inexperienced providers think if they do something like touching you intimately, that you are not LE.  This is bullshit.  LEO's can do just about anything they want to get you.  Stick to well reviewed providers and you should be OK.  Do your research, read the reviews, remember you can look for providers wherever you want, but if they do not have any reviews somewhere, move on.

Once you have seen some providers, some may give you a reference or an ok.  Once you have that, you will be good to go.

If you have any other questions you want to ask privately, feel free to PM me.

When you read a review and it says "She did an LE check" or something along those lines, that basically means she touched the guy's crotch.

Its a misconception that if a guy lets a lady touch his package, he must be safe.  It is kind of like the misconception that if you ask a person if they are LE, they have to give you a truthful answer.

Its not a good method of screening.   The best way to avoid LE is to go thru screening and not find yourself in a room with them.

Then wala! You've popped your hobbying cherry and joined our dodgy little club, easy as Apple Pie (although Apple Pie is sorta hard to make...)

It is still likely that, without references, the provider you want to see will request your legal name and workplace information. So visit a Reputable, Newbie-Friendly Provider. Screening services will keep your information confidential. If the provider has consistent, positive reviews and is established, you do not need to worry about discretion re. passing on personal screening information.

Best of luck and happy hobbying! It's addictive (on both ends)...just a warning ;-)
