Newbie - FAQ

I was in a similar situation my first year.

I feel as though this board may be my only chance to find out. (I hope this does not bite me in the butt.) I am fairly new to this business and discovering that I enjoyed it and could possibly succeed within it was quite an accident (perhaps one day I can tell that story as well), so at first I wasn't exactly sure where to start after my initial "breakthrough". As usual in our digitized world, the internet was the answer. Anyway, a few friends and I created a site (it became one of those unforgettable, a-secret-you-must-take-to-the-grave-was-born girls nights in) and  waited to see what happened... we're still waiting. Like any sensible person, I did A LOT of research before and after posting the site and I think I may have nailed the problem but have yet to find the solution.

"No reviews, no clients. No clients, no reviews."

So... what's a newbie to do?

I've been getting different answers from different sources. Including "create a few fake reviews", "start with 'less respected sources' like craigslist", and finally, the one I was most comfortable with "message boards".

In a business where being "new" is a disadvantage and sometimes dangerous, reaching out for help/advice was a job in itself. Needless to say I am grateful to have come across this forum as a way to formally introduce myself and hopefully gain information from both hobbyists and providers.

P.S.- Sorry its so lengthy.

"exposing" yourself and your openness to be successful.  Bravo.
Stay away from CL, this sight and others like Roomservice 2000 (RS2K), Eros, etc. will more than make up for anything you may get off that site.
Being good at what you do, "flirting" on your Regional Board, and linking your web sight are all great starts.
DONOT self review as that will be one way to get booted off this site and create a very poor impression. Believe me, it's easy to pick em' out.
Did I say Patience??  Reviews will come.
Also, my .02, and I know it's tempting, but do not offer the "if you write a review I will...." path as it implies desperatness and you will be unfortunately taken advantage of.  Nothing wrong with asking a client after his session if he had a good time would he mind writting a review.
Hope this helps.  PM me if I can be of further assistance.
Good Luck!

The only thing tougher than being new and un-reviewed is being an unknown girl working for an unknown agency. In the current hobbying climate most men have an agency-phobia.

I would suggest that you retain the "safety in numbers" aspect of working with ladies that you know and trust but promote yourself individually. This will not solve all of your problems but I think it is a better way to get started.

Also, realize that the vast majority of men who pay for sex have never even heard of TER.  This is a great tool for what we do but not everyone knows it exists. Most men who go online looking for sex end up on Eros, Back Page or Craig's List.  would not recommend CL but there are  dozens of other escort mall type sites out there  where you can advertise your services.

Lastly, participating in and advertising on your regional board here on TER will help as well.

Becoming active on your regional TER board and other message boards that are popular in your area will help a lot.

Also, consider attending a local meet and greet. Those can be very beneficial for ladies just starting out.

Make the text in your ads original.

The more comfortable you can make the guys feel, the more likely they will be to take a chance on you. I've seen a number of new girls without reviews based on their posts and our email exchanges.

But I would suggest you keep your post light and flirtatious at this point. Try to avoid the train wreck treads.

Don't post fake reviews. There are better ways to get started.

industry. No experience no job offer but how does one get the experience??? Market the hell out of yourself. Saturate the market across all boards. Penetration pricing helps to gain new clients. I know guys that take one for the team when they see something they like. The other poster made some really good points. Tremendous amounts of hobbyists do not know about TER so this is just one piece of the puzzle. Cheers..Vegas

The best advice you have gotten is to become active on your regional boards.  This way you can flirt, private message, and generally help put people a little more at ease  over your lack of reviews.  They will come quickly after you get your first couple.  Being new does not have to be a bad thing, many of the hobbyist are always looking for the new girl on the block.  So try to use this to your advantage while you can.  Find out who host Meet and Greets in you area and make sure to attend.  Goodluck

I personally read reviews to find providers that are enthusiastic about pleasing clients and having a good time in the process.  Your post gives me the impression that this is the type of service you will provide.  You should post your website and stay active on these boards with the attitude you have here and I'm sure you will find someone here that will see you and will post a review.  If you are reasonably close to me, I will do it myself.  Good luck.

In order for a lady to include a link, it must comply with TER guidelines.

You know...I'm fairly new myself.  It hasn't even been a year for me yet.  I finally got my first review this month.  It did take about five months before I got it.  I have so many hits on my site....but I'm still struggling without reviews.  It's a process.  I am really active in discussion boards, still feel like I'm getting nowhere, and REALLY frustrated with it myself.  I see a lot of discreet clients that don't review.  I understand that guys are careful too and that's why most won't see a provider without reviews.  I quess all I can say to you is be patient.  BUT I know my patience is running out.  I know it will come, but its still frustrating.  Just wanted to say I feel ya!

Your local TER discussion board is a good place to start. Avoid Craigslist. There are sites that you can post ads on that are legit. Examine your website, some ladies make their sites too artsy. Display photos that give a hobbyists some idea of what he will get when he books you. Display enough, but do not display too much.

It took me around six months of posting ads, interacting on message boards, and seeing clients before my first review. Most of my early clients were also newbies and not on review boards, and while we had a blast together, it didn't help my review situation any! :)

But I kept asking, kept posting, and finally someone who wrote reviews took a chance on me. Bless his heart. That first review (not on this site, btw) opened up a LOT of doors for me.

As mentioned above, market the beejeezus out of yourself. Saturate the free ad sites, post ads on as many boards (both local and national) as you can, and get involved in discussions. Also, remember there is a large portion of clients who aren't "hobbyists". They don't know or don't care about reviews. If they like your photos and website and the way you respond to their inquiries, that's enough for them. Reaching them can be more difficult and often requires paid ads or referrals from other clients or ladies, but they are out there. :)

Get your TER logo link fixed so you can advertize it here.  You can advertize free on your local regional board...  1 every 7 days.  You can post & reply on any board (not advertizing) and getting aquainted will sometimes make members comfortable enough to book with you.
It is recommended that NEWBIES stay with well reviewed providers.  I do not recommend that NEWBIES try to date NEW PROVIDERS...  It's a recipee for disaster.  Rather, I suggest they make a note of the lady & circle back once they both have some experience.
More experienced clients will turn their spidey senses up to high & sometimes sample a new provider.  I have done so & one such remains a Fav lady.

been honest have done well.  What have you done to market yourself?  Have you made your self known on your regional board?  Have you tried to offer any "specials" like $50 off for dates before 4 pm or for TER hobbyists?  Notice, I did not say to TER hobbyists to write a review; this is unethical.

Yes, we veterans tell newbies to only see well-reviewed ladies.  However, experienced hobbyists will see ladies just starting out in the biz.

Good luck to you.
