Anybody have ideas about getting Std tests done confidentially without going to the family physician's office? Is there any way to bypass insurance and pay cash?

I usually get tested about 2 weeks in advance of any appointment (so there's time to cancel if anything shows up), and I drop by that place because they are right on my way home from work.

The full panel costs about $300.

too bad they don;t give out frequent flier miles since they dont know your name

Can anyone tell me what is wrong with seeing your physician for these tests? It's not like you won't be seeing him or her for treatment if you end up catching something.

What do people feel about going to a local clinic such as Planned Parenthood?
