Every time I go to the site the username auto fills. I'm trying figure out if there is an option so it doesn't auto fill. I'm concerned that if someone checks this site to snoop on my activities they see the username auto fills which obviously means I have been to this site before and probably have a membership. To me this seems like an easy way to get nabbed by prying eyes.FYI it does the same thing on my phone for the mobile site. If I cancel my membership will this take care of the problem. Any thoughts??
The browser, regardless of the device, has an area called settings. You'll find both Autofill and Password saved in this section. Just uncheck them and save the change
Should have mentioned it in the previous response, but it's always a good idea to delete your browsing history as well. Just an added precaution.
Now, one thing that you do need to keep in mind, is that regardless of all of the precautions you might take, this information can still be retrieved be a forensic expert.
forensic programs. But leaving bread crumbs is just sloppy. I delete brousing history often... sometimes even during my web surfing. But mydevises are all set to delete history on shut down. I don't share my devises as a rule. If I had to, on occasion, I'd "accidentally" shut it down before handing it over.
It did cost me a new laptop for the SO many years ago... she's bought her own upgrades & additional devises as she chose since them. What a great investment that was!
Be sure to close ALL the tabs before closing Chrome when you're done. There will be no browser history to worry about clearing. I use it on all my devices and even access my hobby mail account from that browser mode.
