I heard it makes sense to have a hobby phone for contact and keep it in the office.
When the ladies ask for your cell # do you tell them its not always available or do they just need it to confirm final arrangements?
Some ask for the best time to call. What should be said to that question?

The lady will need my number to recognize me when I call her.
I usually drop a hint like pivate cell number.  If they ask best time to call, I'd have to give them a day & time & say I'll "have the phone on".
Good Question.

Not to get off topic, but I've had multiple instances where I called to get the room number but my cell # was unintentionally blocked and the call wasn't answered.  Is it safe to say that NO blocked calls are answered?  It was obvious that I was the one calling (approx 5 min. before our scheduled time) and when I unblocked the number she answered immediately.

Ladies get lot's of calls.  You may think that it was obvious who was calling, but she certainly didn't.  If it was someone else and she took the call, she may have missed yours.  Then, not being able to reach her, you leave pissed off and she's out some cash.

It is safe to say that NO blocked calls are answered. In all my ads, and on my website, I clearly state that no blocked, private or unknown numbers will be answered. I realize that some of you may not even realize that your number shows as blocked. From my experience, at least 90% of calls I answered when I was new, that were blocked numbers are simply playing games, asking vulgar questions. I don't answer them, ever. If it is a serious call they will leave a mesage and I'll call back.

I guess it makes sense.  Thanks for the replies.

... Sometimes I let blocked calls go to voicemail and sometimes when I'm feeling particularily rowdy I *PICK THEM* up and curtly request a number to call then back at... Some guys will try to blurt out questions and try to avoid giving the return number.. Those guys are promptly hung up on! This may sound harsh, but time has taught many of us that most blocked callers are time-wasters.. Just try to remember to press *67 before dialing the ladies number when you arrive and you should be fine, like you said...

yes, it's a good idea to have a hobby phone. generally though, I keep my appointments via e-mail, and only use the phone to confirm things. I never have providers call me randomly, and if they did, I wouldn't see them again.

when I give my cell number to a lady I tell her to let me know in advance if she wants to call me.  If I'm having a date tonight, I put the phone on a few hours before the date.

If I'm calling to inquire about a date, I will tell her she can call me in the next 2 hours or however long I can have the phone on without being compromised.
