I recently set up a date with a well known provider in the Atlanta area filling out all required screening nfo and telling he I was a newbie.  I even emailed her the night before asking for a response.  Still no response.   How should I handle in the future.  Should I schedule with multiple providers to avoid sitting it out?  Her website said nothing about newbies.

Also,'can providers read your comments on the discussion boards if you give them your TER handle?

I volunteered my handle since starting contacting providers last week. Guess I should stop giving it out. But how do you get whitelisted if you don't connect your handle to yourself?

You could re-join TER with a different handle but before you do, write to TER administration and tell them you are doing so and why.  They are OK with something like that usually.

whether it's a bad idea to tell providers your TER handle. Early on, I often gave mine out before I began to appreciate how it inhibited me from being candid when reviewing them.

I realize that providers can usually tell who wrote what about them anyway, so I hold off a few weeks before submitting some reviews.

Whitelisting IMO is a problematic practice for a review site. It isn't nearly as widely used for screening as other verification services, and it calls into question whether your reviews are meant to help other mongers or to curry favor with providers.

I have never had to give out my board identity to get a date, though some ladies may like to ask. So it is not that hard to keep your board identity secret. That being said if you review the lady which you should in most cases, if she watches her reviews she will remember you by the descriptions alone and so will know your board identity then.

Contacted a provider 3 days before.No response at all.Even the day after.Nothing.

The way I look at it is, if it doesn't "happen" right away, it's best to forget it and find someone else.I'm not going to wait around hoping for her to contact me.

.Now, there are situations where you could be waiting for confirmation so you can make other plans but that's just the nature of business.

Agreed.  Works the same way as asking a civi girl out.  If she doesn't respond after a call or two, move on.

She could be booked already or something in your profile she didn't like.

Many don't want to see newbies. Can you blame them?

Make sure you get verified with a 3rd party verification service (i.e. P411, Datecheck, RS2K) that is used in your area.

Then you may have to see a few Newbie friendly providers to build up references.

If she doesn't respond to you within 48 hours, I would more on to another one.

That many guys do not like to give their ter names many of us wont see you wilthout this info myself included.Personally i require references ,plural,  for others you have seen as well as your ter hamdle . Also i must be able to pmail you here to confirm you are not pretending to be a well regarded ter member and really maybe you are not him at all.It is a personal preference thing and just like some guys do not want to see girls without reviews i feel the same way about guys.I want to read them to know we have something in common in what we like .
For example My first person i ever saw , i was with an agent at that time.I was told he had a foot fetish so i went out and had the best pedicure i could get .I always was manicured and pedicured but thought if that is his thing let me be sure i have the best damned pedicure i can get my hands err lol feet on:) So i did i will never forget it:) 90 usd pedicure they looked fab .Truth is he wanted me to go outside of the hotel room barefoot get my feet filthy and come in he liked dirty girls with dirty feet.Wellll , here i was with the cleanest feet on the planet turns out he hated me lol awesome! I learned then a lot of info can be had and make both parties happy if only i know what it is they are looking for .:) I was apparently too clean for him:) I was not too upset by that truth be known:) he was too dirty for me lol kidding  my first guy! Don't get insulted please:) Lianna

You say many will not see without TER id yet I have never run into even one before this. Also checking your website your contact information mentions references from ladies but nothing about you must be a VIP TER member. I personally have nothing against giving my TER id but have never seen it be even helpful in getting an appointment never mind a requirement. Do you truly have this as a requirement, or just info you would like to have in addition to references? I'm not upset just curious as like I have said I have never run into this.

I haven't run into this requirement either. I don't recall even being asked for my TER ID since one of my first appointments when my only reference couldn't be reached.

I don't feel there's any equivalence to us using reviews to screen providers. That's what verification and references are for. On one hand, there is no conflict of interest, while on the other there is a glaring one.

I don't mean to get personal, but if a provider ever listed this as a requirement, I would have to consider her reviews to be less than trustworthy.

I personally have no niterest in your other info that many like to have and in ny , we have a special set of circumstances at this time.I do ask for this info in the interaction in email,I do not however ask for your work info your first childs name lol your graduating  alumni etc.I just want to know you have seen girls, those girls are breathing and you are not the serial killer,So yes I do now ask for this info,Now if someone could contact my web designer because i think he may have dropped dead after making my site and I could update. I assure you , that my friend would be awesome .As for me I can not seem to manage to get him sadly.We all have different comfort zones you , me other people ...I feel comfortable knowing i am with someone who is well regarded by the girls and does not have fake reviews.For the same reason you have just stated.My reviewes have never been in question and  I personally am not taking any new clients for the last 7 months you may search my ny board posts to confirm that as well if you care to , as well as off for summer, this yr and every yr..I just try and make sure the guy is the guy he says he is . thats all I am doing , just like you might I am sirry if that notion does not make you confortable but dead chicks on beaches isnt a warm and fuzzy feeling for me so much either::) Good luck to you .Miss Gerrit coming to you from the beaches of LI NY

Well I thank you for explaining your special set of circumstances. Despite having live in that area for 40 years I have never seen a provider in that area. I always had my fun while traveling until recently. Given the circumstances I would not want to be a newbie in NY at this time. Your statement when qualified by the circumstances and area I would agree with, just like I think there still is a large portion of this country where you would never be asked for a TER id.
