Made an appointment with a very well reviewed provider last week. Had to cancel due to illness. I did this 12 hours before the appointment. She graciously rescheduled for this weekend. Yesterday kept changing the time and finally asked if it was OK to move to today. I agreed and this morning asked again to move the time. Fine, I changed my plans and we agreed upon a time. 1/2 hour before e-mail to confirm, no response. Since I knew the hotel e-mail again I was on my way 10 mins before. Got there called no answer. Waited 45 minutes no response. Had dinner plans so I texed my apologies and moved on. Should I have done more?

Something tells me you pissed her off on you canceling. Sounds like she was trying to teach you a lesson...but just my .02

Keep in mind not all lady's will even see a newbie, especially independents. The reasons are that newbies are known for time wasters, canceling, etc.

Sorry it happened to you if you were really truly sick but that's kinda the game until you have some reviews under your belt.

Well for this time around she kept asking me not to cancel as everyone else on this "trip" had. I felt I owed her for canceling last week so I kept adjusting my schedule to suit her. Maybe your right and I am being "taught" a lesson but I just wanted to make sure I hadn't done anything inappropriate.

I am assuming that that was your first appointment with her and you cancelled?  You will learn that even in this recession, a 12 hour cancelleation is money loss, especially if she turned down appointments to see you because most VIP's are not in and out factory girls and have a specific time slot for her appointments That is why she is not a clock watcher.  When she rebooked you, she probably had a backup plan, which came through first and you had to wait. Since you could not YOU missed your chance.

having canceled, it could well be the case that clients with a better history simply consumed the remaining time. perhaps you were simply on 'stand by' in case of a further cancelation from an established client. no one canceled, so no call to you.

the more i learn about this business the more difficult it looks. interpreting it as 'being taught a lesson' is wasted energy and unnecessarily negative, i think.

from a risk management point of view her actions are completely rational and can be seen as directed toward maximizing revenue while minimizing the risk of losses due to further cancelations.

it's just biz. nothing personal need be implied.

It certainly sounds like you were a gentleman.  Sorry it did not work out.  She left you hanging...  NCNS.  
Lots of things could have happened.  Maybe she got sick, freaked by LE or ??   But the ball is in her court.  It's her turn to appologize, or you just move on.

I know in my biz--I hate appointments--you have to do a lot of scheduling Aboth biz and pleasure. Customer calls and cancels 12 hours before--I get up set--if I have anything better to do-I do it. Iget to set my fee after I meet with client and usually upcharge for screwing with my time. She can't. As long as she could fill your time slot she will and you will wait. Lesson learned???  Don't get sick !!!!

Lesson Learned...... I will look elsewhere.
