the board moderator gets to know your posting style a little better. The moderator checks the board a couple of times a day and approves/disapproves moderated posts. Your posts should appear in a few hours or so. Once the moderator learns a little more about your posting style and determines that you're a fine, upstanding, TER citizen, you'll get moved to unmoderated status. When this happens your posts should appear right after you post.

If you're posting an ad on the board, make sure you adhere to the provider's posting guidelines.

Everyone starts on moderated status. It means that the messages that you submit to any TER discussion board must be approved before they are added to the discussion. Once a moderator is comfortable with your posting style, he or she may change your status to unmoderated. Once unmoderated, your message posts are immediately added to TER discussion boards. A poster who is unmoderated can always be switched back to moderated status if they violate TER posting rules.

There is no set rule to how long a poster is on moderated status. For me personally, I only unmoderate people who post on the regional boards that I moderate (Atlanta, Boston, Carolinas, Florida, Montreal, Texas, Toronto and Vancouver). I see their post more often so I know who is more likely to conform to the TER posting rules. I don't unmoderate people on other boards because I feel that should be left up to the moderator of the regional board where the poster posts most often. I also wait to unmoderate Providers until I'm sure that they conform to TER's Provider Posting Guidelines.

One piece of advice that I would give you is to try to post more often. When I unmoderate people on my regional boards, it usually happens after I begin to recognize their username. Moderators have no way to track how many posts that you've made. However, when we see your username often enough, we do notice it.
