Wondering how hobbyists (noob and/or leet) feel as they walk past the hotel front desk on their way to the session.  I imagine their whispers like "is that guy staying here?"  I'm pathetic as I search for the stairs/elevators while on my cell in my sunglass/hat disguise.  Worse if i have to walk thru the dining area also.

Heh... Usually I just walk past as with bluetooth in ear (like a douche), phone in hand, confident and with a purpose.

I've been asked twice total, what I was doing, and I just said, I've already called up to the my contact and to direct me to the elevators.

You've got to remember, the hotel staff doesn't work 24/7.  They don't know who is staying there or when someone might have checked in.

If I don't know my way to the stairs or elevator and I can't see them as I walk in, I may stop by the brochures in the lobby and look at them for a minute while I scope out where everything is.  Pick up a brochure and "read" it as I look for stuff.

The only time I've ever had hotel staff actually say anything to me was on an occasion when I was traveling just to see a girl that I just can't resist seeing every chance I get.  I called the hotel from the airport to have them send over the free shuttle to pick me up, and then when I got there I was about an hour early for the appointment, and that darn free breakfast buffet looked and smelled soooo good I just had to help myself.

After I had already eaten and was enjoying my free coffee and reading one of the complimentary newspapers, they asked me what room number I was staying in.  I told them I didn't have a room and that I was meeting a friend there for a business meeting.

They just told me that the airport shuttle and buffet were meant for hotel guests that were actually staying with them.  I offered to pay for the buffet and shuttle.  They said not to worry about it this time, but in the future, not to use those services if I wasn't staying there.

Needless to say, when I left, I didn't ask them to give me the free shuttle back to the airport.

First, don't worry about walking into hotels.  Just pretend in your own mind that that you are a guest...no one will say anything.  Second, when you call the lady you are visiting for her room #, ask her if there is anything you need to know about the elevators.  She has an interest in your getting to her room with little or no hassle, so just ask...

and if so, enter there and avoid the front desk altogether.

When you call from outside, ask your provider the lobby layout so you can stride past the front desk to the elevators like you know where you are going because you DO!
Through the lobby & turn left!  How hard is that?

Hopefully the lady is smart enough to be staying at a larger hotel with a busy lobby. If the elevators are in a weird location she should let you know in advance how to get to them.  My ATF always texts me that the elevators are to the left or right of the front desk and if it's an out call I do the same.

The idea is to act like you belong there.  Hotel staff doesn't care about people walking through the lobby, only those causing a commotion.

The hotel lobby is a meeting or waiting area for those utilizing the hotel. The CSR at the front desk doesn't know or care what your business is in their hotel. As long as you're not disturbing the peace, or dressed like a homeless person there is no reason for ANY of the hotel staff to raise an eyebrow.

at the prospect of some front desk clerk having the cojones to stop me and ask me what "MY" business there was. LMFAO.

Any clerk who dared interfere with my entering a hotel would be looking for a new job by the end of the day.

There is no need for a cover story, there is no need for an overnight bag. You are there to meet someone, end of fucking story.

I was staying at a hotel that had a single main front entrance and a single rear locked door.  I told the provider who was coming to see me that I'd be waiting outside by the rear locked door so she didn't have to go past the front desk.

Well, she parks, walks in the front entrance, and simply asks the front desk what room I was staying in!  And then proceeds to my floor & room.

After knocking on my door and not getting an answer, she called me as I was still standing outside the rear door.

I was impressed with her balls and enjoyed trying to find them too!!

Hotels arent babysitters. They dont know why your there.. Nor care. If you are meeting someone.. End of story. You just have to be confident enough to navigate through.. if lost ask... As a provider I go to hotels often. I dont dress to Provocative.. So there isnt a need to question.. And most times if meeting a man.. Who knows where you meet him.. You could be a gf/meet him at a bar/ or there for a business transaction.. Which.. you are. The most important thing in this hobby to remember is confidence.. Doubt shows... Fear !

I worked in a hotel that was part of a popular chain.  As a rule, we didn't know or care who the folks in the lobby were.  There were a few regular guests that we knew well enough (they usually brought treats, lol) to greet by name.

Still, there were one or two people working the desk that felt compelled to be the morality police.  They were the ones to watch for.  Personally, I was the one with a copy of the master key, so that I had a place to take my girlfriend, or a reasonable facsimile.

at her hotel, I ask for directions to the lobby from her when she gives me the room number.  Past the front desk, go to the left, elevators are down the hall on the right.  I do the same for ladies visiting me at a hotel when I am traveling.
