Hi everyone.  I just had a couple questions regarding membership payments for hobby websites.

Would it be safe to use a personal credit card to pay for hobby websites such as TER and DateCheck?  And when I mean safe I mean from a LE / legality point of view.

If not, would those prepaid Visa gift cards they sell at Walgreens and such work as far as anonymity goes?

Belonging to a website is not a crime. Talking about sex on that site is not a crime. Does using your CC for membership here leave a written record that you belong to a site about sex? Yes it does but whether that is a bad thing or not really depends on your own level or paranoia.

I would never use a CC to pay for an escort but using it to pay for an on-line membership presents, in and of itself, no legal issues.

Many prepaid cards have restrictions on them regarding being used on adult sites.

used my personal CC for paying for websites, this one and DC.  Like other guy said, joining a website is not a crime.  However, I do not have a SO to worry about.

Have not idea about the prepaid cards, I don't have to use them.
