Okay, I called this girl in DC and she wanted my work info, references and so on. I am in the mmilitaryy, so it is not feasible for me to give away my info. What should I do? Could be whitelist here, or they agree to take ref calls. It is polite to review them in return, if they want that. Thing is, everyone wants to do business so once you build up enough of a track record, it should work. You could also try calling one of the reference services, maybe P411 and ask how they would verify you, see if that would work.
Eventually your problem will go away, so be patient, see who you can, make sure to ask for references.
heres how i started out. i am currently self employed and had no work info for them to be able to varify me. so i gave them a brief description of what i did for a living this work out. i was approved the same day by lisa at primedc.net. though i have yet to use the agency but will as soon as i get a chance. the set up to get varified was easy and lisa asked me quesitons that we not to in depth into anything. just be honest and she will work with you im sure.

You also can join P411, a very good screening service many providers will accept (though they may ask you for the info on your drivers license, too). You can actually call P411's people and discuss your senstivity and they'll work with you to get info you're comfortable giving. Once that's done you can look up providers on P411 who are "newbie friendly." That's it!
