With the advent of the E-Smim and dual number phones what if any options are available to leverage Dual Numbers on a newer phone?
Curious what providers and clients alike are using to avoid carrying around two phones. I almost missed a great meeting recently because my txt app was configured for  Wifi and I had cell signal only.

My phone is paid for my work and monitored by my employer.. if a searchable number showed up that mapped to a provider I would be fired quick. It happened to big name tech company employees that I work with. A bunch  PNW based tech guys got hung out to dry and now all the FANG companies now have a zero tolerance policy.

Help appreciated.

... screw that!   I have phone/text/data for two cellphones from ConsumerCellular for $43/month.   No way I am turning over the privacy of my phone to my employer just to save $43 a month.

My daughter has a texting app on her tablet (she says it uses cellular data not wifi) so if you already have a tablet which is not monitored by your employer that might be an option for you.

I carry two phones and tend to recommend this to those who cannot safely use their regular/personal/work phone with companions.

It's simple, clean and easy.  I've purchased prepaid phones for as little $40 but others have reported spending even less than that.

I hope that helps a tiny bit! :-)

Some people are REQUIRED by their employer to use a business phone for a variety of reasons. Company phone + personal real life phone + hobby phone would be THREE phones to carry around. Anything to lighten the load while staying safe and secure is always welcome.
