I'm looking to going back in after 20 years of being out.  How many of the posters are single vs. married?  For those that are married, what are the best practices that you utilized for keeping it secret?  I was always practicing the hobby when travelling before, never in my home city, but now with COVID-19, my traveling has stopped and looking at local alternatives.

I'm married and I cheat.  But, never when the wife is in town.  She is gone for months sometimes to take care of aging mother.  It is too f'n dangerous to mess around when she's home.  Those chicks can smell that shit on you.  Even if you shower you end up smelling too fresh, etc.

Thanks.  My wife never travels.  I have a separate work phone that never leaves the office for communications with escorts.  I can swap the SIM of my phone into another phone so my wife shows that I am at the office, but I can still text her from the other phone while at the escort.  I planned on always using Lyft on a the work phone # to prevent the "fender bender" issue or being seen by someone else in my vehicle.

Curious on what others do

An older post but one that's always relevant. I've been hobbying for many years, have been married for a long time, and before that had a steady gf. In the earlier days, 20 years ago I traveled for work once a month, and would set up appointments in other cities where I'd travel to for work. That changed a few years ago and for the past few years I've mongered locally. Always do incall, and I only do it when there's a plausible reason to be unreachable. I haven't solved the fender-bender scenario, but glad someone brought it up. Most likely if that happened it would be while I was visiting one of our branch offices. Now that I think of it, visiting branch offices was an old routine that I used regularly in the pre-covid days. It was great because I really did have to go visit branches in other parts of SoCal, so when I visited a provider, I used the old branch visit as a pretext.  

Don't be one of those people who over-explains when they lie. Have sufficient detail in your back pocket but don't volunteer anything beyond what you would normally explain if you were telling the truth. For example, on a normal day, you might say truthfully that you had to visit the company location in El Monte to ensure the new systems were installed correctly, which caused you to come home a few hours later than normal. On another day, say a month later, you visit an escort in West Los Angeles, and you explain to your wife that you were trouble shooting at the Culver City regional office. Be ready to answer questions about who else was there, the general nature of the problem, etc... but it would seem suspicious if you started rambling about how, Alex was there and he couldn't track down the problem, and the parking lot was full so we had to park at the Vons down the street, etc. Keep it natural.

What's put a complete stop for me on this hobby was a STD/HPV scare I had with my SO. I meet with a provider and then a week after had sex with my SO. A few weeks later she started having abdominal pain and started bleeding after sex. I secretly did a std test and the result came back negative and then of course after researching about things in the internet (which was all negative) I was scared she had hpv. Ultimately, after her check up with the doctor she was told all the symptoms she was feeling was due to ovulation pain which is normal for her age. So I was lucky in that I never had to admit to anything. Has anyone had a similar std scare with their SO and how did you deal with it? For married guys do you get an std test before having sex with your SO? I definitely want to get back into this hobby but I can't shake this worry/ fear I have about this.
