After writing a nice review, should I expect a little thank you from the provider?  A little appreciation would make me feel good.

Depends on the provider...I've gotten thank you's (private message or email) from providers I've given great reviews;  I've also gotten the opposite from some that I didn't review that great.

I logged on to TER once so that my ATF could read a review that another client posted about her.   I discreetly wandered into the kitchen so that she could read in relative privacy.   I remember my ATF rolling her eyes and at one point muttering 'Oh My God'.  The guy wrote the review to make himself look like a stud.   I told her that most guys will do that, but she seemed unhappy over it, even though she got high marks.

This is one reason why I don't write reviews & rarely read them (I no longer have premium access to any review site).  I do read the alert section on my local board, and if I'm ever ripped off or scammed, I'd certainly post to warn my local community.  But to answer your question, you have to ask yourself who the review is really about.  You may think your review is about the provider, but often times it's really about you.    --z

Sometimes I get a thank you, sometimes I don't  Right's comment is correct. This is a fuck board. The original purpose was to assist hobbyist and keep them safe, so they wouldn't get robbed or have a b/s pulled on them. Obviously the board has evolved, but bottom line the reviews are really to inform other hobbyist of your experience with the provider. Plain and simple

If she likes it, fine, but I never expected a TY for it.  Remember, it's a business, so just move on.

They may do so, or not.  Trust me though, they do appreciate it, even if they never say so...
