I don't add my price....

Hey gents:

So I'm new to the game, and yes I've read through the FAQ and NewBies stuff, but one thing I began to notice recently in postings on CL, BP, CV, etc. is that some providers are leaving out the price info.

And it's not just one add or two, but on many different adds.

Is this a new "safety" trend by providers (i.e. CL is cracking down) or is this a "red flag" where prices are negotiated on the phone and, thus, you're in deep shit cuz you just agreed to a price??????

Thnx as always!

If they are advertising on those sites and have no reviews you should stay away. I use those sites, BP and CV have links to my webpage, the ads clearly state my rates and hours of availability, I still get ask at least a dozen times a day what my rates are, I simply hang up.
Do not try to negotiate rates on the phone, it is okay to ask what the rate is but do ask about specific acts or ask what the rate includes. You should search the phone number and name here, if they are reviewed it should have a rate listed on their profile and their services should be evident by the reviews. You may ask if the rate on her profile is correct.
All of us had to start somewhere and some of these ladies may be legitimate but for a newbie it is safer to stay away if you don't find them here. Let the more experienced guys TOFTT.

If the price isn't there, pass it by. It's not likely a sting, but could be a sign of you parting with far more of your money than you had planned. Typically, the lady will give you a price over the phone, but that's only to show up. Everything else will be "extra".

Since you are new, stick with the ladies with good reviews. You want your first experiences to be good ones. There will be plenty of time for experimenting, once you get your feet wet, or whatever it is that you plan to get wet.

Yeah, I would say its a sign of trouble. It forces you to ask questions that should never be asked. You don't know if you are about to walk into a sting, you don't know if its an invitation to negotiate rates and wind up paying double what other guys are paying, you don't know what you are getting. Lastly, I would take it as a sign that SHE doesn't know what she is doing. You want to see ladies who are every bit as cautious as you are. Otherwise, when she eventually gets busted, it will be your number in her phone log, and your e-mails on her computer.

There are some well reviewed providers who do not include price info on their CV or BP ads (at least in a major metro area like NYC). They have always been OK when I asked discretely for additional info over the phone.

Sometimes, a CV - BP ad will not include the info but it will be on their personal website, if they have one. Be sure to look for links to a more detailed website.

I think that some providers don't include price info in case they end up having to change it (up for becoming very popular, down to bring in more business). An archived page with an old price can create problems upon meeting (or keep a meeting from ever happening) if not clarified ahead of time.

The key thing to go by is "well reviewed" on TER and proceed from there.

If you can't find donation information in an add then check the lady's web sit as well as TER for reviews; pricing info will be there.  If you still come up empty, then, yes a big red flag.  You don't want to have to ask this question.

I keep it to a minimum on BP and do put in my website which has all the info and most questions answered. I add my email as well. Since I travel only and prices may vary.  I try not to change the rate but you never know.  I try to be fair, and depending on the place I go...hotels and such may be more expensive. Traveling these days is a bit more pricey too.

Good luck!

but after having my ad rejected (twice in the same day), I looked at the current CL ads in my area. Surprise!! Not one of them had the rates anymore! So, I took out my rate - it was the ONLY thing I changed from my second try - and my ad was immediately accepted.

BP, on the other hand, still allows the rate without a squawk.

When I post an ad on BP I never included my rates.  I felt if the gent was interested enough he would visit my web page and contact me as a gentleman.  It certainly cut down on the time-wasters that would contact me.

I am guilty of that!
I happen to have low rates and so I thought it would be an asset to include that information in my ads BUT then I thought that maybe that is the kind of thing that LE looks for and that they could use against a provider in the worst case scenario.
Does anyone know for sure that including rates in ads is OK or if there is some discreet way to do it?
Do tell!

I do not have prices on any of my ads but I do have links to my website, where the prices for my time are listed.
I don't add prices to my ads so that anyone reading them will do their research. I am not interested in seeing the ppl who just call all the numbers with the right price and the picture they like and don't look into who I am and what I am all about. I find the more they research the better the experience for the both of us. From my site they can read my reviews and make an informed decision on what's best for them.

It's just another marketing tool for me.

time wasters w/o the rate than when I include it. I've actually had four wanna-be clients call and ask what they get for $50. Fifty? FIFTY? I know things are depressed over here, but FIFTY? (Worse, someone emailed me and wanted 40 minutes for - you guessed it - fifty.)

Sheesh!
