Hello Ter people -- When I tried to buy membership w/ a Simon Mall Visa Gift Card I was rejected by the bank (according to ccbill.eu).  After the first rejection I registered the card. I then had two additional declines.  Could anyone offer advice on how to buy the membership (or any other insight)?  Thanks and happy holidays.

I'm fairly certain it has been posted here before that Visa/MC gift cards don't work for purchasing TER membership.

Actually, I used a Simon Gift Card Visa twice to buy VIP credits.    You have to register the card and provide name/address/phone number and use the same name/address/phone number in the CC Bill Transaction.

I just use my regular credit card.  After all, joining TER is not illegal, and neither is writing stories.  If you have an SO, maybe get a credit card and use your business address for it, so the statements go to that address instead of your home.

Similar to what Red said earlier the Simon Visa Cards worked for me as of August '09 w/o registration.  What gives? Maybe Simon & US Bank (the processor) do not want to deal w/ TER.  
   
Could it be that CCBill is blocking my IP address b/c I tried to use greendot also.  At least greendot gave a reason for rejection (a non US server / no foreign purchases allowed).

Would a TD Visa gift card work? All Access (if I can still find then)?  Maybe a money order?  Thanks again.

On the credit card it reads cc bill and is instant.

After emailing the Simon Group they said that for internet purchases one must have a 15% surplus on the giftcard. So if one wants to pay for 90 days at $50 they should buy a card for $57.50 (or just round up to $60).

In this case I bought only a month of service to see that the card still works (it does!).
