Ok, so im a bit new at this. What is proper and what is inproper when conducting a phone call to a provider?

You would be polite and courtesy. Same thing here. Also I would read her ad or her website for detail instructions on the meeting.

If you're curious about something, you can be discrete and use metaphors or references to certain acts.
You're saying "yeah but how do I do that?"

One girl told me she's good with doing a Monica Lewinsky...which means she likes to give blow jobs...get it?

When I'd call to ask if more than one shot was on the menu, I'd say:
"Most guys like to go up to bat once but I can always bat twice, is that ok?"

Use your imagination.

If you're courteous and polite to anyone, you'll get much further than if you're rude, obnoxious and pushy.

Just don't be crude and graphic. Improper is:

"Do you give blow jobs without a rubber?"

"Can I do you in the ass?"

"Are your tits real?"

Stupid questions could be a good topic on the general discussion board if it already hasn't been posted.

What is your dumbest, stupidest question you've ever heard....

I disagree. Even metaphors imply that there's something extra going on. I would hang up the phone if asked something like that. Doing your research is my best recommendation ;)

Hi -- I think you're absolutely right.  BTW, you have a great name -- conjures images of passionate moonlight kisses out on the pier at the yacht club, away from the dancers in the distance.  Please forgive the floral excess, but it is a great name.  
MTP (More's the pity) I live in Washington, DC and haven't been in Columbia SC since big floods some years back.  But if you're ever in DC I want to see you and will go through the necessaries in order to do it.  Best wishes.  Barnaby.

Even metaphorically speaking, those questions are still more explicit than most providers will answer. At least for me anyways. When a gentleman asks any questions about what he can expect, I refer him to my website, and tell him that any question he might have can be found there. If he doesn't get the hint and continues to ask questions, I hang up on him.

My best advice to the original poster is to avoid ANY questions about services or rates (do your homework to get that information), contact on the phone should be precise, and dedicated to setting up an appointment, and/or confirming a date already made.

Just my two cents

then you can have a reasonable assurance that you will enjoy most of not all of the pleasures that the hobbyist before you enjoyed.

Attitude is 50% of it.  The rest is cleanliness:  Body and mouth especially.

Doesn't hurt to dress respectfully too.

Don't discuss any specific sex acts over the phone or by email.

Even using discrete code words should be avoided, at least during the first contact.

LE activity seems to be at an all time high right now, so adjust accordingly.
