How to obtain referencesconfused_smile

I am still new to being a hobbyist.  My noobie question of the day how to obtain a reference?

My situation is a little bit different than the average Joe.  For one I am in the military, 411, and date check will not work for work numbers.  Well I could put on for the work phone number some high ranking officer I dislike, but I don't think that will fly well with the provider.  Also where I work doesn't quite have a stationary address.  Uncle Sam likes moving to different places.  Especially to sandy places where it is a dry season for 400 days.

In my past experiences of using this site I have seen a total of 3 providers.  Multiple times, still I would like to branch out my butterfly wings.

All the extremely HOT girls require a reference.  Is there anyway that I can possibly get passed this or another honest way to obtain a reference?

I am a civilian employee of the military and  I have the same concerns as you.  I was really uncomfortable giving out my work info.  I ended up seeing a very well reviewed and long time TER provider for my first time.  She white-listed me and has been very helpful with references.  That was several months ago, but I still occasionally get requests for full name and work #.  I don't like it but if you want the provider to feel comfortable meeting you it sometimes is required - even after getting references.

Here's one good way:  Go to date-check.com, browse providers in your area, and call or email one or more that appeal to you (checking their TER reviews first!). You will probably find one who will see you w/o references if you are very honest and straightforward. Once you've seen a date check member provider, ask her for a date check referral. Then go back to date-check, look up her page, and click the 'we've met' button. Once she has verified you, you will be able to join date-check without employment information and will have 1 referral. This will open a lot of doors....

If you have already seen 3 providers multiple times, why don't you ask one/all of them to vouch for you?

When you are stateside, isn't there a phone number for your unit that someone wanting to screen you can call to ask for you and leave a message?  Assume for a moment that you don't have a cell phone, and someone asks you for a daytime contact number, what number do you give then?

See, I have a similar problem.  I am a feild based employee of a major pharma company whose headquarters is out of state (I work out of home).  If someone were call the main headquarters, they would never say "oh yeah, he works here", and most likely would not forward the call to my business line (in order to avoid some random caller trying to getting trade secret info).
To answer the question, if someone were to ask me for my daytime contact number, I would give them my business line, but that just goes to my house or voicemail (not a receptionist or anything), so that won't work, right?

So it seems there is no way I can get a referral, unless there is an alternative way, or if I try the suggestion from one of the other replies to find someone from a site that doesn't require referrals.
