I am older than most clients. And not experienced in this country's ways. I understand that in DC a man maybe arrested, etc. for visiting a provider. Is that just a matter of bad luck, of statistics? E.g., if she lives in a big apartment house, the guard in the lobby wants you to sign a visitors' book. Is it O.K. to sign with a nonexistent name? I hear "they" can confiscate your car, if you came by car.
The first and most important rule is to stick to well reviewed providers that you can find on TER and similar sites.
Beyond that, keep your eyes and ears open to local LE activities that are often discussed on the local boards here and also your local newspaper.
If anything about an appointment looks suspicious: the provider tries to get you to discuss sex and/or money on the phone or email, you see a lot of Ford Crown Vics parked around the meeting area, an offer that look to good to be true, these could be tip offs that LE is about to make a bust. Trust your senses and call off the mission.
