I notice that DATY is a very commonly-offered service.  That's actually kind of surprising to me.  I remember reading somewhere that, in the general population, one out of six people has herpes.  Surely the rate must be higher among hobbyists and providers (I don't mean to be impolite saying that - it seems like it's common sense, though, since it can't be stopped by a condom.)  How many hobbyists here regularly do that, and are they worried about herpes or HPV?

Yes we should all be concerned with safety so i follow that aspect of your post, but you seem to be making alot of asumptions, if your that worried probably should not be DATY at all
